The Japanese being able to purchase Lisk on Bitflyer will propel us to new heights.

Come rebranding, what do you think users on Japans largest exchange are going to purchase? Litecoin? Ethereum Classic? lel

Max et al. did a lengthy tour in asia, including Japan. They are well aware of Lisk and it's potential.

The masses are coming.

Lisk price surged more than 65% following its listing on Japan-based cryptocurrency exchange bitFlyer.
wednesday has been brutal for the cryptocurrency markets. The Bitcoin price dropped below the $10,000 barrier, while the cryptocurrency market cap entered sub-$500 million territory for the first time since Jan. 17.

Hum, what are you talking about?
First, total market cap is around $500 billions, not millions.
Second, first time it reached $500 billions was the 13th Dec '17.
In Jan '17 it was around $15 billions.

Keyword is "for now".

Will wait till the Lisk Nano client improves.

I do not actually own that many coins to begin with to be too concerned about hacks (yet). Just a small investor.

As you wish.... small or big investor, in terms of security, your move is not the best.

Exchanges can be hacked in zero time, i don't leave on them coins, (if not for trading) more time than the necessary needed to convert, and then wd immediately.

Cheers

Oh Good!!! Turns out is due to my internet security being set too high.
Lisk Nano's working fine. However I still do not personally fancy the fact that it relies on keying in our passphrase to log in; and I have hence transferred everything off to my trusted exchange (with Password + SMS + Google Authenticate) for now. Smiley

But yeah, TO THE MOON!!! (fingers crossed)

Preferring an exchange where you don't have your private key instead of the official wallet, where you can also set up a second passphrase to confirm operations for coin movement, seems a bit silly, and if the exchange goes down or is hacked ?

Can anybody explain how LSK tokens will be used when the platform is ready. Lisk is not going to run ICO on its platform, is it?

Will the tokens be used just for staking and paying transaction fees?

Oh that's good to hear. I tend to be rather jumpy these days with all the news of wallets being hacked and whatnot.
Its been a few days for me being unable to connect to a node with Lisk Nano now. :\
I've taken all the precaution to not compromise my laptop dedicated to house my various wallets, but things can still go wrong.

Is the Lisk Nano Wallet/Client down? I tried to access my coins but wasn't able to connect to the node at all. This have been going on for a couple of days now.
The wallet auto-updated itself too to 1.3.3 from 1.3.2.

Then I found out that the website may have been hacked? This message showed up:
...
The URL is correct. I have checked it character by character; and it was linked via the wallet itself.
If the website have been hack, I worry if it may be possible that the update implemented was also due to a hack on Lisk's server?

Have Lisk compromised their security and allowed their wallet to be hacked? Hope they have not caused their wallet users to lose Lisk coins due to negligence of their portal's security?
Will be patient and will keep trying for the next few days. Wonder if others are experiencing the same? and/or knows what is going on (hopefully not a hack, but due to some unannounced (?) maintenance going on, etc)?

Most likely just a short downtime for an update or so  Smiley
Everything works fine for me.

Is Bitflyer now the biggest Japanese exchange after the Coinchech hack? So we are now on Bitflyer, huge exchange with only few trading pairs. This is big! And DCG the owner of Coindesk is a Bitflyer shareholder so we can expect some coverage on Coindesk in the future.

Lisk breakout! New ATH incoming? Just in time for rebrand!

Sorry if my question may sound somehow, do you mean Lisk Fork or a coin based on Lisk block chain? Thanks for answer.

It's neither a fork nor a new coin based on the block chain.

The lisk team has been working on a major rebrand of lisk which will be launched on Feb 20th.

A logo that doesn't look like a MMORPG gem is one of the many changes that will happen.

OK thanks for quick response, I appreciate.

Does anyone know if there have been any announcements or anything for price breakout. Re-brand and sdk are not until the 20th so seems to be a bit early for that.
