Thank you HardFireMiner for information about Bit-Z withdrawing!
After maybe a week of waiting I've successfully withdrawn some BTX's bought long time ago.
Yes, all these exchanges (where BTX traded today) is just one big pain.
One by one they bring us problems from airdrop's time till now.
And for the future of BTX good, reliable exchange is very important.
Maybe exchange inside wallet will be a good idea for next dev's work?
a few weeks ago I read about the GIO coin, which was originally (or maybe it still is) meant to power a kind of digital assistant. the idea was that they would build a platform and then they and others could build mobile applications on top of that platform. they tried to get listed on exchanges and had one frustration after another. they then decided "to hell with it" and built their own exchange, so that at least the people who had bought the GIO coin could trade amongst themselves. dan_penta is this similar to the idea you were bringing up? by the time GIO got listed on coinmarketcap about a month ago, they submitted their 'announcement link' to CMC as the one they made for their exchange website, rather than their original announcement forum. they based their exchange off of an open source one on GitHub.
here's a reference to a post on their original ANN thread where one of their developers notes their decision to roll their own exchange :
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2064833.580 . you can go to their coinmarketcap page to see the announcement for their exchange, where they list rules for applying.
i'm not sure if this change of tactic is wise on their part, but at least it's an idea, and i commend that team for not allowing their problems with exchanges to lead them to give up. this assumes of course that they are a legitimate team, and not some sort of scam, but I didn't notice any red flags while perusing their original ANN thread. essentially they are treating their exchange as the first application to be written on their platform, using the GIO coin to fuel it, so the platform idea itself still exists. It seems to be an interesting case of turning lemons into lemonade assuming they don't get pulled too far away from their original idea.
sometimes things which appear to be obstacles can be repurposed to turn into advantages. the trick is to be able to recognize when such things are possible. so even if this is not the idea that dan_penta was thinking of, it can still be useful to think of how to turn BTX's current woes into advantages.
