If I'm not mistaken, Thomas has been working for a long time in Bitcore's development team. I've seen him for a long time and thought he was a full member of the team.

I like his BTX theme color matching tie.  Wink
What's his forum name if he has one?

I have a question for the DEVs, hopefully, they can answer me. Its about transaction fees.

It is claimed that BTX has the smallest transaction fees out there. But i must disagree.

Lets take a look. All coins listed here have 8 decimals, 1 UNIT = 100 milion smallest units.

BTX Recommended transaction fee :
102.651 smallest BTX units per Kilobyte
Minimum Required fee is
100.000 smallest BTX subunit per Kilobyte.

XUEZ, a POS "Bitcoin like coin (21mil max supply) recommended transaction fee:
10.001 smallest XUEZ units per Kilobyte
Minimum Required fee is
10.000 smallest XUEZ units per Kilobyte

OMEGA, a dash fork, Pos Coin Recommended transaction fee:
1.000 smallest OMEGA units per Kilobyte
Minimum Required fee:
1.000 smallest OMEGA units per Kilobyte.

Since i mine with 2 GPU on Bitcorepool.cc i receive lots of small payments. Unifying 23 small payments, for a total of 1.14219359 BTX, the transaction fee is 0.00357448, thus i get 1.13861911.
If those were XUEZ inputs, the fee would have been 0.00035744 XUEZ, and if those were OMEGA inputs, the fee would have been 0.00003574 OMEGA.

Do you see the difference in coin here ?

Obviously OMEGA functions with 100 times lower transaction fees ! And XUEZ functions with 10 times lower transaction fees !

Why do we need to have so high of transaction fee requirements ? Can anyone care to explain ?
I was saying that too! And I'm also curious to know why transaction fee is so high. (Minimum is 0.001 but recommended amount is 0.02. Because the
minimum transaction fee does not guarantee transaction confirmation. That is written in the wallet tooltips.

Waiting for the answer.

Hello,

the answer is really easy. It  is already prepared to set down this in the last core update (Core 15).

You can here already see that other fee currently possible is.

Possible fee
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/tx.dws?1043013.htm

Normal fee
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/tx.dws?1042993.htm

I want to activate that in the next update for the end users.  Smiley

Kind Regards Christian

Hi Christian,

does this mean that it is better to wait until this update for a miner with hundreds of incoming transactions in his wallet? If I understand it correctly, it will cost 10x less to send all those BTX to unite them?

Yes that is correct. But the miner are already ready for that. You see the cheap transaction is still on the chain.

We should get BTX supported in Exodus Wallet.
The support all the Shit Bitcoin Clones. Like Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold.
But they dont support "Bitcoin Pink"

Why would we need exodus when we have already dedicated wallet?
Also I remember people criticised transaction fees which could not be controlled.

This could only be good to embrace bigger pool of new customers but from perspective of a current user  Lips sealed

users want an easy life and if there's a coin they can slot into an existing wallet then they're more inclined to go for it. i'm sure adding it to coinomi gave it a boost for new users too.

I am pretty sure that I found the physical address and phone number of developer Jon but nowhere near any DIRECT clue to private key.  Grin

use those info and blackmail him, I'm sure you will get private key easily  Grin

Dear Devs and Community, do I understand correctly where and how to enter "private key" for the puzzle?

It is: "Help" - "Debug window" - "Console".
Then: importprivkey "mycorrectkey"
Should there be quotes - "...." or <....> or not?

Are spaces in the private key allowed?
Can it consist of several words separated by spaces?
Are punctuation marks allowed in it?
Can it consist of uppercase and lowercase letters simultaneously?

Or the private key must be a continuous set of letters without spaces and punctuation marks?

And if the private key is correct, what should happen after input? Coins from prize-wallet will automatically be sent to my desktop wallet?  Smiley Huh Wink

buddy, you asking about private key import means you got something ?
i have dug 8 keys till now but none of them was the prize address  Cheesy

i think it is like the 5BTC puzzle from 2014 which was solved on 2017 (i suppose)
we may see the answer in next few years Grin

Hello Laqvioxie,

No quotes necessary. Just importprivkey yourprivkey
There are no spaces in the privatekey. Privkeys are formatted in base58, I suggest to look it up.
If the privkey is correct, your balance in your wallet will change by a plus of https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/address.dws?1PUZzLe1ksS6SHdnGPdHpDzcXcLYAPWTZf.htm

Important: To make sure no-one that finds the key, too, after you imported it can "claim" the BTX, make sure to move all your funds to a new address that only you know, meaning a new address in your wallet.

Hi guys! What algorithm does BTX support?I think this will be a very competitive project. Can I join the mining if I can? Can nvidia GPU be mined?

It uses Timetravel10
https://www.crypto-coinz.net/coin-info/?41-Bitcore-BTX-Timetravel10-calculator

ccminer can be used with nvidia gpus https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/releases
