What is all this discussion about the color of the logo? Who really gives a crap? It is a nice color. Pink is associated with many nice things. Think about it.

Bitcore (BTX) - The Future is Now
Voted too.
I'd like to leave some constructive criticism about the BTX logo. I must say I hate it. The magenta color is the only really good thing about it, the rest I find totally ugly.
I believe a logo based on the BTC makes BTX appear like yet another worthless copycat product with a lack of seriousness, branding and creativity. And the word "core" is so small no one can read it in icon size in the coinmarketcap list anway.
Ever thought about something new, like an abstract shape that somehow embodies the "core" theme, while keeping the familiar magenta color? Or some kind of logo contest?
Btw thx for the christmas present airdrop.

I hate to say it but I do agree with you, mate. What's more, I don't like this pinkish color altogether. The logo should be more masculine, more brutal if you please, not this frivolous shade of feminine, as well as the whole theme. Really, would you expect a lot of sense from a 17-year-old teenager girl? This is what I felt when I had been first introduced to BTX. I didn't think of it as a very serious project. This is of course an erroneous impression but it is there.

The coin definitely needs some rebranding.

It seems that your masculinity is threatened with the color of the coin. Your attitude justifies your nickname.

Are you being judgmental or what?

Personally, I'm quite fine with the color itself. In fact, I like it very much on its own, it's one of my favorite colors, and that has nothing to do with my nickname. But I just thought that I should express my concern about it since it gives you a tint of frivolousness and lack of seriousness, which may not be good for a coin to succeed. Well, at least this is what I felt, so it should be considered as sort of "constructive criticism" too. There's no need to make it personal, really.
The problem is not if you like the color or not. Your thinking of "pink" as giving a tint of frivolousness and lack of seriousness and your example with the 17-year-old teenager girl were just depicting the reactionary world you are thinking you are living in.

This color is magenta, not pink..

Light magenta is a technical name for pink.

the color is the last thing.
We basically have nothing right now, only the airdrop.
You can say the speed, the blocks, blablabla... but the fact is that no one know us, cause no one wants do some marketing.. we still have cmc numbers error..it is ridicolous.
Every fork out there has a 200-500$ price, also the shit fork zcl that will happens in 1 month went from 5$ last week to 140$ today, and still growing.
I would say that btx is the only failed fork?

It isn't a fork like those hard forks you are referring to. Instead it was a virtual fork and the date preceded all those other forks. There should definitely be more recognition than Bitcore is getting in the market but if the marketing goes slowly is that a bad thing? You can accumulate more BTX which is undervalued at this price and when it does 5-10x from here you will have significantly more pieces which means you will profit much more. I don't love that it is at this price but it certainly isn't a bad thing neither.

the point is to keep the coins AFTER the airdrop.
how many people here will do it without sell NONE? 1% maybe? We need to start some months before to advertise btx, or we will end with price of 1$ at the end of airdrop ( that basically will be useless if the price goes down)

Yes, Bitcore has no marketing. BIG MISTAKE. It has made a signature campaign. Totally ridiculous one, probably the worse paid signature campaign of the whole forum. Nobody will discover BTX from that campaign. BIG STUPID MISTAKE. The devs seem to not understand anything beyond coding, which is their speciality in which they are true masters, and they have a snobbish attitude of not recognizing their limits in areas different from coding, like for example marketing and human psychology. If they are totally uncapable of doing marketing, they should gather experts from withing the BTX community. They don't do that, BIG MISTAKE. They made a contest to chose a slogan for the coin. A very banal slogan has won. Quod erat demostrandum, they have no clues about marketing and they are to proud to realize it.

we will have a good coin, with price od 5$. useless if they don't understand how to advertise it. the technology seems useless in this world if you don't have marketing.

A lot of new guys seems to be complaining alot Smiley you should realize that there is a lot of new people hearing about BTX and joining the ride. Yes, it is because of the airdrop mainly now, but the word is out and with growing price (which is) there will be a lot more people to join and try the BTX.

You said $5 as a bad thing... a lot of us joined BTX when it was $5 and than it went to $48... than back to $15, but it is still great for us. And it all happend over two months, while still recieving the airdrops.

Don't worry about the price, believe in devs (they know what they are doing!) and try to get as many BTX as possible while the price is still low. Enjoy the airdrops and try to get as much as you can from it. You can thank me in a few months when starting the engine of your new lambo with BTX logo on it Wink

New guys? i bought mine at around $4, sono problem for me, i already cashed out my seed and keep all my earnings on btx, but i'm talking with an abjective point of view. I expect a fast dead in price near the end of the airdrop, and personally if i don't see nothing in development/marketing/exchangers, i will dump all my coins for sure before the airdrop ends.

Is the Timetravel10 algo worth mining with a CPU? If not then what GPU would give the best results? I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970.

everyone just need to wait till all coins are distributed...

Like waiting for better weather?

Start it now and earn later? The milestones have to be taken just in time and not chasing time. Just my opinion.

like waiting till this address is empty https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/address.dws?262.htm

Bitcore (BTX) - Airdrops every Monday
I still think it is urgent to implement Btx in everyday usage. Simply as paying your bill with cash.

Time is a matter, and if anyone is faster than you, he will have the profit and you had the effort.

Why not seeing it from the point of view a user has, and less from the point of view of a trader.

Trader tend to trade until their profit ruined what they traded some hours before. And that is honestly not my business. If I believe in something, I encourage myself to trust in it. But this needs some input from the outer space from time to time.

And discussing about the color of the logo? Honestly, i am female, and my wardrobe does not include any type of red associated colours. I prefer the darker ones like grey, blue and black. So you want to tell me, I am not female? Good joke Cheesy
Implementing BTX in everyday usage requires compliance with many financial systems and markets that are heavily regulated and centralized. Just think about converting BTX to USD/EUR in more than 1K amount per day (the case of a small business like a boutique or  street-corner drug store) and YOUR bank handling all that fuss... For a small peek in what the overhead looks like, compare the BSD/EUR price on LiteBit.eu with the equivalent on coinmarketcap and other "references"... Do the math and you'll see that mass adoption is no easy feat to be implemented in a few months.
Trading crypto-currencies as commodities allows for wider reach in terms of technological knowledge and for the stress testing of new, innovative features, as well as for a mechanism to determine the market value of a "coin".
You said you would accept BTX as payment for the services/goods your business provide. That's wonderful, but did you consider the operating costs of providing that payment method? If so, I'll praise your economic prowess.
About the color of the logo: I am male but I like that magenta tint even if I wouldn't wear it as a dominant color... and "wearing dark colors" doesn't make a "female" less "feminine"... it's all in the attitude (from my point of view and for my 2 satoshis opinion) Wink

Buy, hold, trade and USE this coin. That will make it rise above so many others, besides code quality (that's not immediately obvious for most of the users).

Though you maybe won’t expect it: I agree with you in many points.

But where would we be now without the first BTC pizza? Nowhere in space. We would not have this communication at all.

There was never anything bigger than the first step. So let’s do this step.

And dealing with my bank about this Btx transactions should be he smallest problem. But let’s simply find it out. we just need the support for the first steps.

Think with your brain. It is not illegal (yet).
