Mini announcement: Christmas raffle & first banner

Dear Bitcore community,

1. We are running a mini Christmas raffle - giving away some BTX to our community! Only 16 spots available, join here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcore-btx-first-hybrid-fork-lowest-fees-christmas-raffle1full-2633236
2. We have a first basic animated banner for Bitcore - include it on your website to support BTX: https://i.imgur.com/WGR9qtd.gif
More will be released in the future. This one needs bigger text for sure.

Note: I will probably not be on bitcointalk 24th and 25th.

Merry Christmas,
Your Bitcore team Chris, Jon, Steve, Ivo and David

I saw an error in the banner.
You wrote airdrps instead of airdrops.

Last days i did several BTC transactions and i am still waiting for two of them(2days) , the blockchain is jamming i guess cause it’s overloaded... That’s annoying and not only that i lost money because BTC crashed... So what future has the BTC? It’s already heavy... Because of that bad experience i am planning to do transactions with Alt coins. I thing we realy need coin like BTX. It’s not far the time for mass adoption... The market needs it...
What do you guys think? Do you have heavy BTC transactions lately?
Don't forget about lightning network that is testing now. Who knows what will be in 2018...

The fees and transaction times make BTC look pathetic.  Lightning better happen quickly, otherwise people will just abandon BTC for some other better coin(s) already available.  I think syscoin already uses lightning, so it's not like it's alpha code.  With BTC, regardless of how good the devs are, implementation seems to be a bottleneck and consensus happens at a snail's pace.

I think Bitcore has hit (almost) the absolute bottom.
So I think the only way is up after this cryptocurrency dip.

Yes the market wade in again, and your absolute right. Smiley

Peace

Just BUY & HODL like a man.

I think $11,80 was the bottom for Bitcore today.

Time to buy cheap Bitcore before the airdrop?

Yeah I wish I had some fiat to purchase for, the other crypto have lost more in percentage so it is a bad deal to change those to BTX I guess, I must ride the storm out.

Beside that I don't know if the exchange let me have my BTX before the Airdrop.

Peace

Can someone help me? Trying to run the Bitcore Electrum Claiming Wallet on Windows 10 using a Trezor. Getting error missing DNS module. I also tried running it on Lubuntu and Electrum doesn't see the Trezor even though Chromium Linux sees the Trezor just fine and Trezor web wallet works on Chromium.

Still a manic miner
when is the aidrop going to end? someone did the math about the depletion for the premined coins? it's 4 years?

Not even close. I think the best guess is around 4-6 months IIRC.

I think round about Q1 2018

If the price spikes then the bitcoin whales will claim and they’ll start getting interest which could deplete the reserve wallet in a matter of weeks.  It all depends when/if that happens.

the whales havent claimed 1:1 when the price was much higher... they dont care for 1:2 at this price or higher. (imho)

When I look at the graph, I see the following:
Every Wednesday & Thursday the price of Bitcore is at the lowest point and in the weekend at the highest point.

I believe that when the airdrops are finished the price will become MUCH higher.
I think that the airdrops are finished around March - April (Q1 2018).
At this moment the price for Bitcore is TOO low.

The best method is: BUY & HOLD.

Bitcore:
Maximal Supply: 21 million coins
Maximal Blocksize: 10 MB (20 MB SegWit)
Blocktime: 2.5 minutes
Blockchain: own blockchain (NOT a fork!)

Blockchain Size: ca. 400 MB
Mining Algorithm: timetravel10 (GPU)
Difficulty Algorithm: smooth Diff64_15: 15%, 3 hours
Distribution: airdrops, claiming via snapshot (for BTC holders), mining
Maximal transactions per day: ca. 48 million
SegWit: yes
Replay Protection: not necessary

Bitcoin:
Maximal Supply: 21 million coins
Maximal Blocksize: 1 MB (2 - 4 MB SegWit)
Blocktime: 10 minutes
Blockchain: own blockchain (NOT a fork!)

Blockchain Size: ca. 145 GB
Mining Algorithm: sha256 (ASIC)
Difficulty Algorithm: standard BTC: 400%, 2 weeks
Distribution: mining
Maximal transactions per day: ca. 1.2 million
SegWit: yes
Replay Protection: not necessary

Bitcore = 48 / 1,2 = 40 times faster than Bitcoin!

Last info one of the devs shared was about end of february... but it was probably just a guess expecting a big pump of new people registering for airdrops. So either the airdrops will deplete faster, but the price of BTX will be much higher, or the airdrops last longer.... win - win situation  Cool
