I think the answer is "No", but is it possible for those who have BTC in exchanges to get airdrops?  It seems like they have to be in wallets because a private key is required?

There is no real way to determine who has claimed and who hasn't claimed

It's all just hear say bullshit from people who don't know what they are talking about Wink

Yep... that's what I thought

Seems like $27 is pretty damn low for this coin.   Only 1.1 Million circulating 16 mil total.
There is a mistake on coinmarketcap, the actual circulating supply is circa 10 million coins.
Hello,
Almost $7 million coins are blocked because are not claimed by the bitcoin holders.

Where did you get that 7M coins?

According to the dev team, there is no way to know... see below

what happen when nobody claims the most of them? lets say within the next 1-2 years?

Nothing... the BTC owners are entitled to sweep them at any point. They don't just magically disappear. While it is highly likely many BTC owners will never claim their BTX (example, addresses pre-2013), they aren't going to get reclaimed for distribution or burned.

Just spotted BTX also on Supernets Barterdex.
Barterdex will soon be the first decentralized trading plattform working with atomic swap.
Going to be exciting what impact that will have on BTX.

Wow that's nice, any idea when they start, didn't find anything.

I'm not realy sure, I think I can remeber Komodo (KMD) team posted something about end of this year.
But also https://www.altcoin.io/ posted on their homepage that they gonna launch
their crypto exchange (atomic swap) begin of 2018. So this might be the same technologie.

I just read where it says it goes up 1% every month....  Sweet.  When does it increase to 4% ?? 4-5% weekly is a serious return as long as coin holds value which I am sure it will and then some.
Hello,
It will be 4% every Monday since December,5% in January ,6% in February ,7% in Mars ,8% in April untill the coins from this address are finished :

So if the coinmarketcap numbers are wrong, does this mean the price should be higher since there are way less coins that will be available? Many people with old bitcoin wallets will never claim BTX

Statement regarding Dev Fund Splitting

Dear Bitcore-Community,

In order to minimize any potential security risks it has been decided to split the development funds into smaller chunks of 10k BTX.
These coins will not be moved and are still visible for everyone on the Bitcore blockchain, providing full transparency.
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/#

Thank you for your understanding.

Your bitcore team.

Now, I had this question popping up:
if you discovered that a 377000 BTX wallet (controlled by dev) is a potential security risk - then the big 5,000,000 wallet with airdrop funds (controlled also by the devs) should be a much higher potential security risk, right?

So why not address the biggest risk first? Logically..

I suggest you split it into 5000 wallets with 1,000 BTX each. Grin

Bought 200 BTX @ $27.  Got my wallet and registered for airdrops   Cool    3%weekly isnt bad. 12% monthly.  I love coins that do this type of thing.  MNX gives almost 6%  so I went even heavier on that.  Great way to bring in investors and turn them into holders. If I could get that 25% deal I would double or triple my position.  I probably should anyway.....
