Maybe a bounty program is planned or just masternode rewards? I would like to participate

We want people to have choice and control in how they store, access, and share their content and data.

We didn’t say a “breakthrough” but it is unique and our patents show that. One of the key differentiators is how we unify a users' device ecosystem and create single points of access to your storage ecosystem without reliance on the cloud. This is our TackApp.

~snip~

I find this rather interesting, and interested to know more. How does it works, unifying devices without cloud service? Will it be via WLAN? Amd what'll be the implications? Is it possible for, let's say because of one device that's rather weak, all of the other devices will be vulnerable and possibly breached through it?

The devices are unified through a software application that resides on each device. The ownership of the devices is authenticated through an AXEL server. Once the user has been authorized to access the unified devices, all communication is peer-to-peer, directly between devices utilizing the software application as a com channel. So unlike a LAN that only works in a local area, the unification is global. Wherever your device can get service, it can talk to your other devices through the com link in the software. Vulnerability isn't an issue because you cant get to the device without first being authorized by the authentication server. Additionally, account access can be configured by the user to require multi-factor authentication. So without the multi-factor code, the account and the access to the unified devices cannot be achieved.

I don't get the concept of your project, I take that it aims to establish a secure data transfer by utilizing blockchain? Like... you facilitate me to send files or images or things like that to my coworker and/or simply to my friend? And it'll be guaranteed hack-proof?

it is also not clear how are they going to implement their objectives here. how are they going to return the data custody to users? i just hope this is not another masternode project trying to milk those masternode buyers and presenting an innovative concept that in reality, is hard to execute because they can't get sufficient number of users on board.

Thanks for the feedback. Our company has always been about data custody and giving users greater control over their data. In fact we built our patented technology on that principle with our TackApp and Multi-factor authentication. However, our aim was to continue to develop and adopt new technologies to ensure that there could be custody and control with accessibility and portability. People want to get and move their data and we want to help them manage that process.

We are now utilizing blockchain technology to help secure a distributed and decentralized network to further move away from centralized control of data while still making it work for the user with many of the benefits they see now. Our process has always been evolutionary to work towards ultimate data custody for users whether it be consumer or business. In fact, we’ve devised our proprietary SOAP process to Secure, Organize, Authenticate, and Protect data.  We’re using the Masternodes to secure the network and we’re opening them up to the public and partners because we want community participation.

We could operate all the nodes ourselves, but we want to ensure decentralization.

And we know how to get users in our ecosystem. If you read the white paper you’ll see we already have products with 7-figure user adoption across our 7 applications including mobile, desktop, and web. More products will come powered by blockchain and IPFS.

A bit unclear here, wasn't such "breakthrough" already existed for a while? Like, a KYC service that fully automated and encrypted, then stored in bits thats scattered randomly that no human could ever see a single word contained on the form? How is yours different than the existing competitior?

It is about giving users, whether businesses or consumers, more choice and control that ultimately leads to a better relationship to their data.

We believe distributed computing can help provide better speed, efficiency, and user control through decentralization.

Distributed is exciting, it’s not new, but it’s still raw. Not only do we want to integrate distributed computing with our existing ecosystem, we want to ensure that people can easily use distributed functions seamlessly. Many of the solutions currently available are clumsy and not user friendly. It’s about providing powerful technology but that is right for adoption and usability.

Fused with our existing technology we believe we will make user data easier to manage, more efficient to access, more secure, and provide a technical ecosystem that is exciting for businesses and consumers.

AXEL Architecture + Distributed Systems + Blockchain is something unique.

A better way to manage data is something we do and will remain committed to.

thanks for that elaborate answer. you have been in the industry since 2012, so i would presume you can get big whales to invest on your project. as pinoycash already mentioned, you can get angel investors/venture capitalists instead. you have so many patents under your name already. so you have good credentials to offer. also, why venture in the masternode business? masternode projects have bad reputation already because many of them are mere pump and dump projects and abandoned by the devs.

We’ve examined a variety of different technologies and have spent a great deal of time to ensure we found protocols that delivered our vision and supported our existing technology.

Why Masternodes for?

1. We wanted to ensure decentralization of our network offering. Giving users, partners, and customers data custody without centralized control is important for our vision of data
2. We like the technology and it works well with our SOAP process. Tokens are core to the operation of the process and we find the PoS utilizing Masternodes as a good option to help us facilitate that.
3. It’s a good way for people to participate at the right level. If you look, the rewards structure is built to support our network for the long-term and ensure partners are in there for the long-haul. We have also created a tier structure to allow for entry level participation to support the network. You are right, there have been some people who have abused the Masternode system, just as there are those who have done so with ICOs and even those in the stock market. But, as you pointed out, we have patents and a strong team, all with reputations they have earned with hard work over the years. That means something to us and we hope to the rest of the community, so it should give confidence that we are going down this path with good intentions and because it is the right solution for our product and company.

Looks like a legit team, But why pre-sale? You have a power house team why not launch a self funded project or look for angel VC investors to start up your project?

Thanks holydarkness - our system already provides peer-2-peer functionality. You can do that now with AXEL. But we’re on a mission to improve how data is managed in the digital economy, so we wanted to give more choice to consumers and businesses over the management, processing, and control of data. Distributed system such as IPFS can help us by making that management faster and cheaper and blockchain to allow for the Securing, Organizing, Authenticating, and Protecting of data. But this is just one major step on our journey. And yes, we want to make it hack proof. We do security testing on our products.
