We are shutting down the multipool for now given the current voting outcome.
Thank you
You can always reinstate the multipool at anytime in the future if it seems necessary and as you said, save yourself another headache for now lol. Good news is, price on MIN seems to be steady and or rising and pool miner count is up at least on the VA pool. Remember if your going to do something that is totally unlike anything before, which you are, then that should also mean staying out of the MP and MIN as a payout. Like I said, I cant see where BCPool has done anything to help the BC coin value and actually I feel BCpool has ultimately hurt BC because of there close association to the name BC and their stingy appearance. Not to say you would do as they have done or even use them as a model but you know that's how it would look and MIN would be perceived. ok I feel it was right move for now to stop the MIN MP, and shelve it for now.
bcpool was very profitable for a day or two, but that was due to the price going from 10,000 sat to 30,00 so of course you will get less. I think the bigger problem of multipools is the coins they choose. most pick old shit like feathercoin, tag, blah, so miners go elsewhere because they can make more. nobody is going to settle for 1/2 profits, period. If you had a killer multipool that kept up with profitable coins and people could see that they aren't losing out by not mining on ipominer or trademybit, they would continue to mine on the multipool because it's convenient and they are seeing profits on par with what everybody else paying attention is getting. I think a better solution to creating a multipool for every pos coin is to get the existing multipools to pay out in whatever currency you want. Hashcows is doing this but unfortunately they are still focusing on scrypt and have become pretty lazy, so again you have a multipool but the profits are significantly less than pools with multi-algo and pool ops that are always on the hunt for profit so it again defeats the purpose. bottom line, the next pool that remains at the top of profit charts and pays out in whatever coin you want will be the next big winner in crypto.
Ya I agree with most everything you said, my thing is I'm simply anti-multipool for a few reasons..... its mainly when they point all their hash power to a pool for a while and destroy the nice balanced hashing power of that pool, and rape the coin for a while then go dump all in the name of buying black coin or what ever coin they payout in and move on to their next victim. As a result we have seen a very low return on most alt coins especially the x11 and x13, as they have been repeatedly abused by multipools and rig renters. and now we have hundreds of shit coins. So even if a multipool does their homework daily, picks the best coins, charges the lowest fee's etc. they still are out there raping coins all day and suppressing the values. That's why I was flabbergasted to see this coin MIN become part of the circle. I am out for the common miner, the guy with a few gpu's etc. that wants to mine a good stable and steady coin without coin raper's dropping in ruining what little they can earn. I know everyone has seen a big drop in values of almost every coin across the board, now soon we will have a scrypt coin market flooded with Titans and alike, what do you suppose they will do for that scrypt coin market? it will all but be destroyed. They will find themselves competing for a coin with the same return level as they did when they were mining with GPU's only 9,000 in debt with a worthless machine. That's why x11 x13 is so popular now, but until we rid the world of multipools and rig renters and take away that ability, only then will we see stability and coin values come back up. This is why I was so intrigued by the MIN coin devs for taking a bold step to limit hash to 50 m/h,,,, and control the pools
what great and simple move! They have set the stage for a coin to be truly a "fair distribution coin" as they say in their thread title. It would be spoiled by going multipool. So that's my take on the alt coin world right now
Go Minerals! heh"
