Anyone who mines here using CPU. What's your hashrate in Intel Core i7 8th Gen Cpu. I wonder if this coin is just CPU only algorithm and mines better with Ryzen cpu's. Pretty lazy to do some googling so i will appreciate anyone who'se going to respond to my question. Thank you in advance.

Something has changed. I can connect to a remote node but the local node no longer functions. This seems to have started somewhere between July 31st and Aug 1st. Why is this?

I have verified the wallet has internet access just as it did before when the local node was working and I have changed nothing on my computer or network. Has something in the wallet changed or need upgrading?

Privacy is my greatest concern and the reason I chose to support LOKI, now that has changed, I cannot view my current wallet balance past block #64343 unless I am connected to a remote node (someone else's node). I prefer having the chain download to my computer for safe keeping but that is no longer an option? Am I doing something wrong or has something changed with the way the wallet works now? Chris B.

Edited to add:  I upgraded to the new wallet from the recent fork. The new wallet does exactly the same thing as the old wallet, no local node connection. Also the new wallet uses around 30%+ of my cpu even when not connected to the daemon...............Something is definitely different.

Hello. I've just downloaded the new GUI wallet, but it appears to be having trouble to start the DAEMON. What can I do to solve this issue?
Hi BDTemple, try connecting to this remote node: address: doopool.xyz Port number: 22020. Go to settings > go to Daemon Mode > select remote Daemon > type the address -> Type Port number

KEEP IN mind half of The block reward goes to Developer wallets, to be used for his "server maintenance that runs the network" 45% to maintenance servers and 5% for governance

Those are the promises he gives for taking 50% of ALL Block rewards + a pre mine.

This coin is a HUGE scam, think about owning half ethereum and get 50% of each block for "team and servers" ?  holy balls. thats like running 15 million gpu's in your mining farm because people are tricked to mine on a scam coin.

If a coin gets successfull and large, just 1-2% is MORE than pLENTY to support team and servers, even at startup its not that hard to pay for servers!  but he wants 50% + Pre mine.

this coin is just a quick test and dump whenever it gets value, just steer the hell away, and on trade site he probably trades with Himself to create fake volumes, he sells and buys, eeveryone who buys up from him, he will add more coins from block rewards.

normal coins has 1-3% trade volume everyday, like Bitcoin has 3-4% trade volume maybe closer to 5-6% because 10% of btc has been lost already and he wants 50%

I have nO idea how there can be so many people that are mining this, you guys are just too stupid to see that 50% of all mined blocks goes to dev is a HUGE problem? put up 5000 miners, he gets equal reward as 2500 of them. but instead miners has to share half of it to all miners.

Hey, I believe you received incorrect information.

It breaks down like this:

50% of the block reward goes towards Service Nodes. Service nodes are run by the COMMUNITY similar to master nodes. The people who run service nodes receive the reward just like mining. This does not go to devs.

45% of the block reward is to miners.

Only 5% of the block reward is for governance. This does not even mean the devs get the total of this. Out of the 5% only a portion will be used to ensure the future survival of the project along with approval for community proposals.

More details are in the whitepaper which I suggest you take a moment to read: https://loki.network/whitepaper
To operate a Service Node, an operator time-locks a significant amount
of Loki and provides a minimum level of bandwidth and storage to the network. In return
for their services, Loki Service Node operators receive a portion of the block reward from
each block.

okay, need some more details on that, and thats same as masternodes just with a time lock as if not most of htem already runs a time lock.

Okay either way.

pre mine is prob in masternode so thats devs 26% of all coins

rich people just buying loki for mastenode = majority here

common user = 5% of all coins

so just break it down to devs 70%, rich ppl 25%, common 5% of that masternode reward. so 50% of each block is shared to all masternode holders where devs are taking all the cake. Huge pre mine used for masternode, they mine their own coin since the start, also added to masternode, they own most of all coins right now and knows so easily how to run masternodes here.

so you know, masternodes is causing people to buy up the coin to run it on masternode thats why there's volumes on this coin and buyers interest, all to get ripped off by devs having most of the coin annyway.

Even if you had 5000 gpu's mining and rest of community 2000 gpu's , the devs with that masternode is gonna make "more money" than you are mining with 5000 gpu's here.

oh waow what a ponzi scheme, cant believe ppl care about this piss.  such a favoritising of rich people and getting rich fast. should dump you loki and support a less greedy coin than this, people do coins here for free with a 1-10% pre mine and no fee from miners afterwards, those look like a charity in comparison LOL.

Same thought. Those kinds of premine, master nodes etc... are all ponzi or scam.

very nice coin, anonymous coins still provide utility so there is competition among anon coins to take the market lead, this coin has some potential in my eyes road map looks good too will grow more

I have difficulties running the wallet gui in Windows 7 x64 Intel system. I run it as administrator but it keeps on stopped working. Are there people here experiencing the same thing running the wallet? Haven't experienced this in other QT wallet. Here's the logs generated after it fails to load.

2018-07-26 20:53:24.233   6224   INFO    logging   contrib/epee/src/mlog.cpp:185   New log categories: *:WARNING,net:FATAL,net.p2p:FATAL,net.cn:FATAL,global:INFO,verify:FATAL,stacktrace:INFO,logging:INFO,msgwriter:INFO

It might be your windows defender that is causing the problem. Kindly create an exception for lokid.exe. Follow the guide here: http://telegra.ph/Loki-GUI-Wallet-05-05. Hope this helps!
I've done this i have no luck in running the wallet. It still won't really go through. I wonder if there are logs generated aside from that which is informative so i can test it's compatibility in my Windows 7 system. I'm using an old, Dell Core 2 Duo optiplex mini tower pc to run that. It might be the performance of my PC causing the issue.

Update from this problem :

I finally found the way to run the GUI wallet. I installed some visual c++ packs missing from my windows 7 system that has recently been formatted. I completely forget about those runtime. Now i can run the Gui wallet by following the low graphics call command. Now i can store and mine some Loki's.
That's great to hear!

Come mine LOKI with us at cryptonote.social: https://cryptonote.social/loki

Our pool uses a predictable solo mining payment scheme, the goal of which is to provide an entire block's reward to a miner as soon as it computes a number of hashes equal to network difficulty. Of course it's impossible to provide any such guarantee given that mining is a random process: for pure solo mining the network difficulty reflects only the average number of hashes you might have to perform. The actual number can be 2x, 3x, 4x or even more, making solo mining far too risky for most.

The good news is that through leveraging the mining power of multiple miners, we can come pretty close to this ideal of awarding 1 full block's reward when number of hashes equals difficulty. Ethpool was the first pool to promote this concept, and it works quite well judging by its popularity: it contributes well over 2 TH/s of hashpower to the Ethereum network (see https://miningpoolstats.stream/ethereum).

We've been experimenting with predictable solo mining for cryptonote coins like Loki, Monero and Wownero for some time now. In the process, we've identified room for improvement in Ethpool's PSOLO scheme, and have implemented an updated payment scheme we call PSOLO2. The main difference with PSOLO2 is a full block's reward always "costs" exactly the network difficulty value instead of the number of credits from the runner-up miner. This improves predictability of payouts and eliminates some of the known flaws in Ethpool's scheme.

Interested in giving predictable solo mining a shot without a big investment of hashpower? We recommend you first check out our Wownero pool: https://cryptonote.social/wow

The network difficulty for Wownero is right around 80M, which means you can mine a full block's rewards in about 2 hours with 10 kh/s of hashpower. In fact as of right now there are 2 mined blocks already confirmed and sitting in the queue waiting for any miner to hit the network difficulty target and instantly earn their rewards.

Happy mining!
