Hi Dev team,
I am so excited about this coin, I made the move from lurker to register on Bitcoin Forum!
I wanted to share a couple of ideas, as someone who studied in Malta but is no longer there.
- Why not advertise around the university? If you go in the main building underneath the canteen there are all the notices, could stick some posters up around there and maybe offer some competition or something. Maybe you could get in touch with the IT department or put some other notices there - would be cutting edge for students to get involved in the ecosystem. What if you ran a short guest lecture on how the Dev team created the coin. If you made this as a webinar I would love to listen in too.
- This could be big for some of the Paceville clubs if it increases tourism for them. They are always handing out those buy one/ get one free tokens for drinks - why not ask one to print a muniticoin logo on them too?
- I am not sure if they have this in Malta but I have seen they have it in other tourist cities. Some students do some free guided tours, mainly with young travellers from youth hostels, they are usually really enthusiastic as they do it all for tips. If you managed to get in touch with some of these, or the hostels, and told them about muniticoin as an exciting thing to add to their tour of Malta it could help spread awareness.
Thanks for your work so far on this team! I have a question - how can you afford to do all this free giveaway and pay for the distribution workers?
Hi YBC, and welcome to BitcoinTalk. It's great to hear from someone who has experienced first-hand what Malta has to offer, especially if it was on a long-term basis. We always value feedback from such sources!
There are some posters up near St. George's Bay, which as you might know is a few steps away from Paceville. We will put up some posters in Paceville itself later on, and I agree that they will be very effective if placed there. If you might have noticed, we have been in talks with AACasino, and one of the topics which cropped up was a sort of "sponsorship" whereby companies would include our logos in their promotion. There's nothing solid on that aspect as of yet, but we're working towards that objective.
The University building is also a great spot for promotion as well. We were planning on launching a full-blown campaign there as from next October, since during the month of May, most students would be busy studying for their finals and promotion there would lose much of its efficacy as a result. The webinar idea is innovative and sounds great, we will definitely take that into consideration.
There are some kind-hearted people who offer free guides for tips, but they're few and we do not know how we can reach them. Part of the functions of the D2D team will be to explain to interested persons what Muniti is all about, but they sadly won't be offering free tours to tourists, partly because of time constraints and partly because it's not part of their job description.
We are funding this whole project from our own pockets and from the proceedings of our mining rigs which have been mining Muniti from the very start. The secret is to follow the most efficient route possible, not the cheapest one - we're building one block at a time and that is saving us a huge amount of time and money. We're not asking for donations because we prefer having people promoting Muniti out of their own pure will and perhaps donating something for the furtherance of such promotion, rather than centralizing all promotion and have it stem from our team only. That's why we constantly encourage you to spread the word and let others know about us.
