I believe those posts were made by a spambot, not a human being. But yeah, they fucked up the trust in the mazacoin project big time and wasted a ton of potential. I still hope they turn this ship around before it hits an iceberg and switch to a more transparent and professional style of management

Indeed - I would say that Mastercoin will do fine- the whole MZC and BTC funding method for Maidsafe got gamed hard during the launch...
I nearly dropped y jaw when Mastercoin hit $11 that was really quite eyeball watering ... $38 is no sweat.

Mastercoin investors have jumped ship and piled into the Maidsafe IPO ( thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=579797.0;topicseen ) and someone has apparently done the same with some of MT Gox's stolen Bitcoins, whatever is going on it's more interesting than Mazacoin right now, that's for sure
