"fire up a checkpoint server"

Is that not a central point of control?

For a small altcoin with little hash power, you need one to prevent forks. You have a 1 petahash to help keep LEA more secure?

fine tuned KGW + longer confirmation times is a better solution

LEA come talk @ the Cryptopia-apocalypse FUND

Trying to unite all the delisted to move to / create an exchange that actually cares about low cap projects.

No more exchanges left where LEA could be traded?  Cry
Are there any chances that LEA will be listed elsewhere if the future or game is over?

Apparently the coin has been 51% attacked. Market has been stuck for a month, ive been talking in cryptopia discord and apparently they think it was a 51% attack.
Whats the next step? Is a fix going to be implemented?

Im quoting one of cryptopia guys:

Quote
they'll have to tighten up their code, fire up a checkpoint server, make a few other changes, and replace the missing coins somehow..   will definitely require a hardfork to fix, just tightening up the code alone..
Quote
looks like they got some work ahead of em

Is there any plan to fix this? Some of us are left bagholding. I hope you can do something to fix this issue. Maybe you can join to our telegram channel https://t.me/LeaCoin_Comunity and keep us informed

So the situation will take some time to get fixed.

Maybe this can help for LEA:

http://forum.mymue.com/topic/80/mue-announces-its-move-to-proof-of-stake-pos

POS stake coins cannot be attacked the 51% way. If, if this is the case now but I really don't know.
Also maybe someone exploited the LeaCoin code without needing the hashing power, dunno.

Well, I think that the team needs to promote the project on various platforms including social media platform as well as the forum

Well, 'the game' has come to us, in your words.
If this is truly double-spend, it's really bad for Cryptopia in the first place.

We both lose, and the attacker can be proud he stuck his nose into a kids coin.

I used the Facebook link at the bottom of the Block Explorer, he also pops in here occasionally, maybe a direct message here would work as well.

The database is updating, however the issue with Cryptopia may be the fact that they have more coins than they should (somewhere north of 400M were listed for sale before they paused trading), when the total supply was around 385M. This would explain the relatively massive volumes since the 25th or so (forked coins were getting cashed out as soon as possible) as perhaps Cryptopia's wallet ended up on the forked chain (I'm not sure the details of how all this works). So even though the network may be fine after re-syncing, Cryptopia may need to do something more to sort it out. Your guess is as good as mine on what that would entail.

That said, the dev has always responded to me quickly when I send questions, so I've been impressed with that.

It would be nothing to worry about, but too much pressure was on LeaCoin hash rate in a pool, and it forked.
When two blocks are found on the same time, it forks.

https://github.com/leacoin/LeaCoin/issues/2

The user is on bitcointalk, his pool news:
https://lea.thecoin.pw/ (Look at latest news, below on the web page).

Why worry.. Better be patient, as always.
The site Leacoin explorer ( https://explorer.leacoin.org/ ) says 'data sync in progress, please come back later'.

So it means LEAcoin will be trading back in few days ? I have Jammed LEAcoins in my cryptopia account which are frozen now. Much worried for it

The blockchain is catching up already, few days and we're OK i think. If you're worried, it's better to politely ask the dev what was going on, maybe.
The worst thing one can do is panic.
