Nice, RJF. Yes, keep us posted.

Allcoin: I sold some NOTE, and pulled the Bitcoin. Did anyone notice this:

"- Being Processed since 105 days 3 hours (without answer.)
- Being Processed since 91 days 20 hours (without answer.)
- Being Processed since 72 days 7 hours (without answer.)

105 days? and the poster is still asking for patience? Sigh: Allcoin is Gox.

Shanghai Stock Semi-Exchange closed 8.48% down. That's doubleplusungood.

Allcoin is not responding to any support requests, in what looks like over a month. We did our best to support the exchange, but it is not looking good. Hopefully we can get the withdrawals resolved. We will have to actively seek out the owners. If you have information on contacting them directly, please let us know.

Would it be prudent to remove them from the OP and website, at least for now? Doesn't look good and we don't really want anyone trading there at the moment.

That is probably a good idea.

Go ahead. Remove it from OP.

There is noticeable dumping at Polo. Hope they are not from the operators of Allcoins. Abandoning the exchange with other people's properties under their control is a serious bridge of fiduciary duties and a lack of human decency.

All set. I certainly hope that is not the case.

It's both sad and frustrating to watch yet another exchange pull off something like this.  On a happier note, thanks to the great voting by everyone at Cryptsy, we have 22,014 votes and in 5th place.  4th place is about 4,000 votes away!!! Smiley

I was unable to get my dnotes out as well. I sold a small amount just to see if i could get it out. I did sucessfully withdraw all my btc And my ripple. I attepted to remove dnotes off my moms account and it also times the server out. Just my experiance over this last weekend

Thanks for reporting. There has been an increased selling at Poloniex. We are keeping an eye on. We are not clear if the situation at Allcoin has anything to do with it.

On the bright side, DCEBrief is progressing very well. There is a good indication that we can get  contributing articles from high level supporters.

This could be a game changer for crypto payments. Keep an eye on these guys, we might want to approach them when the time is right.

Thanks, RJF. Keep us posted as you find out more. It is creative and will get some people to sell their bitcoin to fund their prepaid card. There are still multiple transaction conversion cost inefficiency to overcome. It may not be a game changer until the transaction is only between the buyer and the seller. No middle, no currency conversion. That is DNotes ultimate goal. DNotes will continue to make a very strong case why we need a trusted global digital currency as much as we need the sun to come out tomorrow. Sorry. Just suggesting that it will happen. However it will take years and we need to do all the right things at the right time. DCEBrief will be an invaluable platform for us to present our case and deliver the message to the right people. I am very excited about the project and have been exploring different options to provide valuable contents.

Agreed, we need to eliminate the middleman. The reason this caught my eye is much simpler, it is, for the user, a one step 30 second solution to the problem of spending Bitcoin ANYWHERE that accepts credit cards with a terminal capable of NFC connections which will be the norm very soon. I'm sure, as history has taught us, the more people that start using/experimenting with this system, the more it will be refined and disseminated to the rank and file.

Sooner or later, the "middleman" will be out of a job...

Hello all,

Filmed the interview section of the CRISP video today - went rather well overall. Only minor hiccup was needing to change venue at the last minute due to noisy renovations next to the room at uni we had booked to film in. The new venue (where I work) was having an open day and weren't too keen to have us stay long, so I only got one take at the second half of the interview (after being asked to wrap it up). Suffice to say, I think I got the main message that I wanted to get said, in a format that will keep the video brief by focussing only on the student related content, and not deviating from it. Overall, I'm sure the editors can create something awesome given the content we filmed. They can easily play random scenes against my answers if any cut and chopping is required (so nobody will notice the editing). Speaking for video is an interesting experience, because you want to say things in the right order, not repeat yourself, not say 'um' or 'ah' etc... whereas speeches are much more lenient in this aspect. Still, not 'scripting' things gives it a better feel in my opinion.

Quite pleased overall, I'm looking forward to the final edit!

I'm sure it will turn out great, can't wait to see the final result! Thank you TeeGee

@ Dyna:

my Bitcoin is home safe. Response on the Dnotes-withdrawal failure promised within 24 hours. If none -- I don't know how you guys would normally handle such a situation -- my mob would go public.

m

I did three more tests this morning. 1) Withdraw 28K Doge = successful. 2) Withdraw .895 Litecoin = successful. 3) Withdraw 100 DNotes = Failed (Time Out Error) All attempts have failed over the last 3 weeks. I have sent in them a 4th support ticket. Has anyone else encountered a problem? Any suggestions what we should do next?

I hope this isn't Mintpal 2.0!!!  While I don't have any coins on Allcoin and recommend that anyone new uses Poloniex, I have helped people get set up at both exchanges in the past so I still feel responsible for what happens at Allcoin.  Plus it is terrible for the industry!  I sent them a message as well, but if you haven't had a reply in the last 3 weeks... who knows.  Does anyone ever used their chat box?  Would it be worthwhile posting "FIX THE DNOTES WITHDRAWALS!!"

If they don't fix the problem, they can always be reported to the UK authorities.

Edit:  RJF beat me to chat box chatter! Grin

They no longer have a chat box or any open communication channel. They seemed to have abandoned any form of support including responding to support tickets. Time out error is likely to be a simple fix. Looks like the "Captain" has abandoned ship. This is very bad for the industry. I hope we will be getting a response soon. They were the first exchange to list DNotes and I have been very supportive of them. It's highly unfortunate that they are totally unresponsive.

One: no response to my ticket.

Two: there is a current No-Response-at-Allcoin thread here. I have posted:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=450306.280

Three: tweeted Big Vern

Four: vote with Cryptsy Points? So that's what those things are for! (5 votes for NOTE.)

@ Shepherd:  ' . . . bucket full of bad options' Wow! Nice turn of phrase! (Bad bad situation.)

Mark

Thanks for helping us out in different fronts. I just took a quick look at the Allcoin thread. The problem is not unique to DNotes. It has barely been responsive for over a month. I hope they have the decency to return other people's coin.

Apparently, they have been having issues since at least mid February, or so they say. Crashed servers, DDOS attacks, security problems, "stuck" wallets, etc. It doesn't look good, could well be running on autopilot at this point...
