Quote From TeeGee:

A very impressive amount of attention has been given to this, including alternative write ups.

I love the show garden - I guess they don't get picked for sale, or if they do, maybe at the end of the season.

It would be really cool if you had a daylilly that was dark blue on the outer leaf, and light blue on the inner - name that one DNote's flower Smiley.

*******************************************
Dyna:

TeeGee, thousands of hybridizers have tried but no one has succeeded in creating a blue or dark blue daylily yet. I will pay you $5,000 for your first plant if you can do it. Here are three of my creations that could be named "DNotes" There are many more choices though.

Smokeys Daylily Gardens is a success story worth telling one day when I have more time. It is a very typical case of small business owners wanting to be successful for themselves, for their family, and their employees, but many have continued to struggle in vain despite their never ending hard work and scarify. With mounting regulations and rising cost it is becoming increasing more difficult and challenging for small business owners across America to succeed. Small businesses are the engine of job creation and often, character building. A little help and guidance can go a long way. I am proud to have the opportunity to give Smokeys Daylily Gardens a helping hand and some strategic directions as a management consultant and a friend. I am delighted that they are doing so well these days.

Peak bloom of daylilies is typically between June 15 to July 15 in the Midwest , depending on the weather. It is stunning. Smokeys has over 3,000 cultivars that are commercially available, depending on inventory levels. We have created over 5,000 new cultivars ourselves that could be registered and named as “DNotes” “CryptoMoms” and others. It may even be fun to have a naming competition one day. New daylilies, at introduction, are sold between $100 to $500 for a single plant. They are gorgeous. It will be nice if we can share some beautiful pictures with you.

We are VERY busy here at Smokeys Gardens. The first two or three weeks of shipping are very hectic. We have well over 50,000 plants to ship that were sold over the winter months but not delivered to the customer. We set a record this year, shipping almost 60,000 plants in the first two weeks of shipping. Even though we are very busy, I felt compelled to comment on Dyna'a post.

Yes, we do have quite a story to tell. We built Smokeys Gardens from startup to Best in Class despite many roadblocks put in our way (Cancer, Heart Surgery, Economic Downturn, and Real Estate holdings equity, [along with borrowing power], dropping by 30% to 40% in value). How did we do this? The most important task was identifying what we wanted the business to look like when mature. Only then could we work towards a goal. Another important part was knowing our competition. Who are we competing with? We hit the road and VISITED our competition. How do they do it? How can we improve it? We studied and learned everything we could about growing, planting, and harvesting Daylilies from them. Then came the hard part. Execution. Hard work. Long hours. Usually, the top dog directs his minions from the Corner Office, observing and directing. Not   in Smokeyland. Dyna, DNotes and I put in several 100 hour weeks on several occasions. Lead by example.

We followed the same path with DNotes. Plan. What are we building? What should it look like when mature? Know the competition. What are they doing? What are their goals? How can we do it better? Execution. Work from waking to bedtime. When you are very passionate about what you are doing, work is not work. We here at DNotes are like my old hunting dog. Happiest when working. There are very few things that are more fulfilling to us than having a plan, planning a path, and executing that plan.

Smokey

Very well said. A lot of times, it is not how much start-up capital you have, or how many people in your team, but how passionate you are and how well you can work as a team. Common people under good leadership with great strategic plans and directions can lead to the achievement of uncommon goals. What DNotes has accomplished in a very challenging industry in just over a year with a dedicated a community is quite astonishing. It is historic. And this is only the beginning.

Smokeys Daylily Gardens Accepts Chicago's Digital Currency DNotes And Bitcoin For Daylily Purchases

Chicago based digital currency DNotes can now be used to buy flowers at Smokeys Gardens, one of the largest daylily growers in the world.

COLDWATER, Mich., May 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Smokeys Daylily Gardens, established in 2007 and one of the largest daylily growers in the world, becomes the first merchant to accept DNotes as a form of payment for daylily purchases. This is a pilot project to demonstrate the significant benefits to merchants in accepting DNotes, a proven stable digital currency built from the ground up with trust and integrity.

Hailing from Chicago, Bitcoin alternative DNotes was created on February 18, 2014, with an objective to meet the full functions of fiat currency as a unit of account, store of value and medium of exchange within three years. DNotes has taken a very different path since day one in building a trustworthy stable digital currency with reliable long term appreciation. Using blockchain technology, embedded features to prevent inflation and exemplary means of storage; DNotes may very well exceed fiat money in global online payments in the future.

The same team that created DNotes built Smokeys Daylily Gardens in a highly fragmented industry with a blurred line between a business and a hobby. A solid business plan with a firm commitment to be the best in class, coupled with hard work and flawless execution quickly led the seven year old company to be one of the largest daylily growers in the world.

Daylily is the second largest selling perennial plant with 79,360 registered cultivars according to AHS (American Hemerocallis Society) Smokeys Gardens offers the best selections of high end daylilies. Using a single 38 acre farm, highly trained and motivated employees, the best farm equipment and the most efficient processes, Smokeys gardens plants, harvests, and ships more daylily plants in one week than most of its competitors in an entire season.

Co-owner Rocky DeLucenay pointed out that,

"Efficiency and highly motivated employees are the key elements for small business owners to remain successful these days. We are always interested to save money where we can."

She went on to explain that 100% of the business is processed online using paypal, credit and debit cards with some personal checks. The merchant fees along with charge backs often average around 8% of revenue. The cost of transactions using DNotes is near zero, while protecting the company from fraud and chargebacks. Unlike Bitcoin which has been highly volatile, DNotes is a stable digital currency with a proven record of reliable appreciation.

DNotes also hosts long term savings plans (CRISP) for children, employees, retirees and students. Haley Mullet, a medical student and a third year employee of Smokey Daylily Gardens and new CRISP for students savings account holder states:

"Working in the farm is hard work but it has been rewarding and inspiring to work with a group of professionals who truly want to be the best in class including a genuine concern and contribution to our financial future."

To help students like Haley to keep up with costly student loans DNotes are hosting free giveaways for CRISP for Students account holders. CRISP accounts are free, the giveaway will continue with a limited supply of free DNotes.

Chicago business leader and co-founder of DNotes Alan Yong is a strong advocate of small business owners, and is concerned about underfunded retirees and the constant struggles of small business owners. The need to constantly use high interest credit cards to supplement cash flow coupled with high transaction cost, reversed charges and credit card fraud has continued to put a damper on employers' ability to support pay raises and facilitate job growth. There has never been a more urgent time for the employer and the employee to foster a new mindset of partnership to confront these new realities for mutual benefits and survival.

DNotes is committed to encourage and promote this new partnership by offering CRISP For Employee Incentive Benefits along with CRISP for Retirement, both with the potential for high returns. Accepting DNotes as payment is a significant competitive edge leading to revenue gain and meaningful savings that can be used as employee incentive benefits and owners retirement savings. As the first real world business to accept DNotes as a payment method Smokeys Daylily Gardens is ahead of the curve; well positioned to reap the rewards of instant transactions and low transaction fees.

Not only do we accept digital currency we just this past week mailed out our first order to a customer who chose to use Bitcoin to pay for his purchase.  It was announced to all in the company that our firts BTC order was getting process and shipping out!  I spoke with the customer after the purchase and he stated it was very easy to complete. Another thing about being in business and accepting digital currency is our company does not have to wait on funds.  Unlike credit cards which the funds are not deposited into our account for 3 days with digital currency it is deposited immediately.  We could potentially lose money and this has actually happened twice where a customer did a chargeback while product was in transit. 6 days later you find yourself in a battle to get paid for what the customer already has in his/her possession. That costs companies money and everyone pays for it in costs associated with credit cards.  Most consumers have no idea that the companies get charged everytime they use a credit card... and it depends on the card so that fee is not a fixed cost it is variable depending on the card. The more perks you get with your card the more it costs the merchant.  Figure it out someone has to pay for those perks they certainly are not free. You can average it but it is by no means fixed.  Why do you think we dropped AMEX? Fees, Fees and more fees.  Why do you think AMEX is not accepted by many companies? They charge the most out of any credit card company. Smokeys Daylily Gardens accepts DNotes and Bitcoin but sorry no AMEX!  Haley has already claimed her first DNotes with the CRISP for Students.  She is a very bright young lady who makes excellent grades and we want to do everything we can to help her succeed in becoming a doctor.  Who knows I may need her some day to fix my worn out back or knees from messing around in the gardens so we will do everything in our power to help her succeed. To anyone who is on here reading no matter if you are in need of daylilies or not check out our website when you have some time to look at some beautiful daylilies.  It is just fun to browse through and relaxing, we hear it all the time.  visit www.smokeysdaylilygardens.com  You can also see the gardens throughout the year as we now have a camera shot of part of the gardens in front of the pond. Nothing in bloom yet but you just wait around July 4 give or take a week or two and those fields will be in bloom. A sight to behold for certain.

Congratulations Smokey..This is a wonderful example of How Dnotes can assist in a transition to a cleaner and brighter economy..I bet the flowers are really blossoming nicely now.

That's right Haley! CRISP for Students account holders will be some of the first to realize the ground-breaking implications of blockchain technology, and the DNotes currency itself. The article states that Haley is employed at Smokey Daylily Gardens. This garden business is already established as the best in it's class, but is now strategizing to be an early DNotes adopter, and will become not just the best, but reach a level that is unattainable by it's industry peers.

The DNotes team are working very hard to ensure that the community, present and future, have the most accessible, reliable and stable means to accumulate long-term wealth. There is no better medium to get free DNotes than the CRISP for Students program, and everybody has an equal opportunity to get in early by following this link: https://dnotesvault.com/crisp-for-students.php

I believe I can make a fair presumption that Smokey's Garden will also be the first business to sign up for the soon to be released CRISP for Employee benefits program. Hayley can get her first DNotes by signing up for the student CRISP at no cost to herself, gain more through the employee benefits CRISP, invest them and earn interest on them with the DNotes retirement CRISP - and maybe, if all goes well, DNotes will play a part relieving the pressures of student debt, and provide a little (or a big) nest egg for her to retire with. The CRISP for Kid's plan will allow these benefits to be trans-generational. All Hayley will need to do is decide what she would really like to do with her life if money were not a considering factor.  It is my personal view that DNotes will take care of much of people's long-term financial worries. Some students may choose to take the courses at university that lead to careers with higher potential remuneration. It would be my personal view, that money is no motivating factor - we all want it - but sometimes at the price of our happiness? I don't want to sound like I'm preaching - but imagine the potential, and value in a scenario where an individual can live their life doing non-remunerative work for social benefit like charitable causes, or a 'creative-commons' artist that doesn't claim copyright, but still lives and retire comfortably?

The charitable worker would make a difference in many other peoples lives (so will CRISP for Charity), the artist will express themselves and bring themselves joy - and to many others by not demanding a fee for their work. I think this is an example of working for mutual benefit. What I'm alluding to, is that money, in whatever form, equates to freedom. People who get in on this opportunity early, may find themselves with an excessive amount of freedom to choose career paths they thought they otherwise couldn't afford. I can see much more than just monetary value from getting in early on opportunities that present themselves like this one.

Thank you TeeGee. Your post illustrates very well how the CRISP programs tie together. I encourage everyone to take advantage of these programs now.

DNotes also hosts long term savings plans (CRISP) for children, employees, retirees and students. Haley Mullet, a medical student and a third year employee of Smokey Daylily Gardens and new CRISP for students savings account holder states:

“Working in the farm is hard work but it has been rewarding and inspiring to work with a group of professionals who truly want to be the best in class including a genuine concern and contribution to our financial future”.

To help students like Haley to keep up with costly student loans DNotes are hosting free giveaways for CRISP for Students account holders. CRISP accounts are free, the giveaway will continue with a limited supply of free DNotes.

Smokeys Daylily Gardens Accepts Chicago’s Digital Currency DNotes And Bitcoin For Daylily Purchases

Bitcoin Press Release: Chicago based digital currency DNotes can now be used to buy flowers at Smokeys Gardens, one of the largest daylily growers in the world.

Coldwater, Michigan. Smokeys Daylily Gardens, established in 2007 and one of the largest daylily growers in the world, becomes the first merchant to accept DNotes as a form of payment for daylily purchases.

“Efficiency and highly motivated employees are the key elements for small business owners to remain successful these days. We are always interested to save money where we can.”

“Working in the farm is hard work but it has been rewarding and inspiring to work with a group of professionals who truly want to be the best in class including a genuine concern and contribution to our financial future”.

To help students like Haley to keep up with costly student loans DNotes are hosting free giveaways for CRISP for Students account holders. CRISP accounts are free, the giveaway will continue with a limited supply of free DNotes.

Chicago business leader and co-founder of DNotes Alan Yong is a strong advocate of small business owners, and is concerned about underfunded retirees and the constant struggles of small business owners. The need to constantly use high interest credit cards to supplement cash flow coupled with high transaction cost, reversed charges and credit card fraud has continued to put a damper on employers’ ability to support pay raises and facilitate job growth.

Great news for our industry!

Bitcoin Exchange Receives First License in New York State

New York State’s top financial regulator has granted the first license to a Bitcoin exchange, allowing it to open legally to customers across the country.

“This is a big deal, not just for us, but for the entire Bitcoin industry,” itBit’s chief executive, Charles Cascarilla, said.

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/05/08/business/dealbook/bitcoin-exchange-receives-first-license-in-new-york-state.html?_r=0

That is fantastic news!

I found this interesting:  "ItBit avoided the need for a BitLicense by instead applying for a trust company charter, which appears to come with even stricter regulations. It is the first trust company to be created in New York since the financial crisis."  Making the choice to take on stricter regulations has to be a first in this industry.  It's also hard to believe that in New York, not a single trust company has been created since the financial crisis in 2009!

Great news but very demanding and challenging. We will be looking into it.

“While some see Bitcoin as alluring for its potential to operate outside this system, we see it differently,” Mr. Cascarilla said in a blog post on Thursday morning. “We believe Bitcoin and blockchain technology have immense potential within the system — to help make it more efficient, to offer new solutions and to bring us all into the future.”

I totally agree with Mr. Cascarilla statement that there is "immense potential within the system".

Great news coming. Smokeys Daylily Gardens with be the first merchant to accepted DNotes as payment for any daylily purchases. Major announce for immediate release.
