So I had a long talk/chat on discord with one of the lead team members of the platform regarding this topic (with "Mr.Google", just to let you know):

According to him, they "have some moderators browsing daily, and investigating weird ones (removing/banning)
and we have a report feature where ppl can report memes
everything reported get checked, and if we re sure its fake / copyright infringment etc, we ban etiher

1) nft, or 2) wallet or 3) profile (all wallet of this profile)
So then its not visible on Nudes.Army
Its ofc still on the chain, but that is between the user that "stole" and the user that claims it his/hers and not within our control (as with minting mona lisa as an NFT)"

Moreover within the next versions, there will be report buttons onsite (currently only in discord), additionally to the downvote function. And they want to provide the necessary information if it comes down to the court.

So yeah, sometimes you need another perspective on things. They are grateful for everything which can improve the website and make it a safe place to post memes and earn with it.

I am not going to check/control every posted meme on the platform, because even if I will or did, there's nothing I can (or will) do. The problem that might arose is between the original meme owner (e.g. Sammy Griner "the success kid" or Laina Morris "the overly attached girlfriend") and the meme poster.

As for my suggestion, obviously is not to try earn through the platform, especially as the platform already confirms (and wash their hand of) the legal implications and most likely won't assist you when it really comes down to the court. Posting on 9gag or IG is probably a light case because you didn't get any money through it, thus the legal infringement (maybe) is lighter. Posting with the aim to monetize a copyrighted content, though, is a whole different case.

I feel meme coin has a timing in the market, they thrive in bull market and is better to get into it after bitcoin halving. Also meme coin don't really need crowdfund or used case, so I like to know how well in investing in getting an active community, top influencers and list on many exchanges.

You are not wrong there. But what´s your suggestion? Do you want to check/control every posted/to post meme on the platform? You cannot blame a platform for providing a place to upload things there.

Maybe it's just me, but the way I read it, they seemed to washing their hand of the legal implications. As they state themselves, the platform (namely them, "NUDES") are not sue-able, while the poster (namely you and other users) are subjected to the copyright infringement if the original content owner escalates the case to the court.

Well I did ask one of the team members regarding this topic:

You can also downvote one, if you don´t like the meme - or in worst cast - theres a copyright violation. This way he/she cannot make money with it at least. Additionally there is a report function in the NUDES discord, mostly for gore/nsfw memes. But I think it´s for copyright violation too.

Nevertheless thanks for pointing out this topic, I guess there is still room for improvements.

What's the legal implications for this meme monetization? Just like what I pointed out on another meme based project a few days ago, meme is protected by copyright, and just by posting those meme themselves for fun, let's say like in 9gag or others, is (as far as I can conclude from the snippets of explanation I quote below) a violation against the content owner's right. I could imagine how ugly it could turn to be with the case of monetized recycle.

- The meme-to-earn-website:
It´s unique in the crypto world and content creators are always looking for a way to make money. Also there are people who like to spend money on diiferent things, why not on memes? And they can support their favourite creator this way.
It is also planned, that projects will be able to advertise their project on the MemeSite

- In my post the game "NUDES city" is mentioned:
It will all start with mini games, like a coin flip game and develop into a real casino. This casino will then be integrated in the game, which is planned to become a metaverse game.

"People just go from one meme token to another, do you think there is something here that will make people stay on this platform?"

Well with meme-to-earn you can already earn some money (I don´t think you can become a millionaire though, but who knows).
As for the non-content creators (the normal users): In the next version of the website people can do different tasks to earn $NUDES - for example daily login or take a look at 10 different memes.

Many things planned, many things in development. Some things already finished. So yeah, let´s see where the road goes.

I just wanted to add something at the end: It´s great that there are smart people here who don´t just call it "scam" or "rugpull" and ask questions. I´ve been on other sites, let´s call them ".eddit", and the community is just poor there. On bitcointalk you can really talk about a coin .

The question basically serves as a way to inform readers a point they might missed, a logic they failed to catch amidst the "FOMO" of getting free tokens which lure them to buy the first hundred tokens which will later became worthless. Let's turn the table, do you think it is useless and I shouldn't try to point these out to inform (and help) other people?

Good question: It is for growing the community and the NEO ecosystem at the same time. And of course to have fun while doing it. Send NUDES to a friend and get rewarded for it. You could do it until the faucet (3% of total circulation) runs out of NUDES. So it would be just 3% anyway.

There is another "catch" to it: Every transaction needs GAS. So it costs you more, than you will get in return in form of NUDES (except the case NUDES go another +1000%).
