You guys can't seriously expect every coin to go up every single day, week after week. Look at the yearly chart and see where pivx stands.

It really pains me to see all crypto grow like crazy, even shit ones. The market cap of the crypto industry has tripled and PIVX is still struggling.
The PIVX silence is worrying me.

Op was last active on the 4th June 17 so they are still here, They will be working in the background and will not have time to post comments on here :-) HODL tight bro PIVX will rise out of nowhere when the momentum picks up

This coin has to be the biggest fail in the history of crypto. What happened pivx? Did you guys get hit by the sky rocks? Or did James Clayton dump on all of you?

Sick anarchist. Someone should grab him by the balls! Grin  Cheesy

I think the problem is less the forking itself than the confusion that can result.  I think it would be helpful if Pivians had access to network status updates/alerts.  Ideally an alert message sent to the wallets. Alternatively, an email alert or a Twitter account dedicated to network alerts. Maybe these alerts could link to the page on the website that explains how to check you're not on a fork, and if you are, how to get back on the main blockchain quickly.

Holy crap, a Mrs X post!

To what do we owe this pleasure?!  Cheesy

I normally don't read BTC, but I figured it would be a good idea to grab this user name before some impersonator does.

And while I'm here anyway I decided to post something useful.

For whatever reason, welcome!

Something should be done to make sure the network is unaffected if/when a lot of masternodes go offline simultaneously. Otherwise the network can be attacked any time.

The core developers are already working on this, but since this is a big change on how masternodes handle each other every possible side effect must be considered, and all changes must be very carefully tested before a release.
In other works, it will need a while until it's implemented.

I might be wrong though but what's clear that it's a bad timing to have forking issues.

It's always a bad time to have forking issues :-)
Fortunately most users are not affected by this.

It's not the blocktime.

I've been told the forks were caused by coin-server (which hosts a lot of masternodes) going down.

Apparently every time a significant amout of masternodes go offline at the same time a fork could happen due to the masternode payment enforcement.

This is a serious problem I think.

Sure, people shouldn't use centralized masternode hosting services but realistically, people won't move their masternodes to other more reliable but more expensive hosts.

thanks bathrobehero i'm 100% with you!

~10% of my nodes forked 3 times in the last 7 days and i noticed the last masternode drop yesterday. my nodes forked at same time ofc
