How many Master Nodes are active right now?

Just another suggestion,

Maybe it would be an idea to update the wallet every month or so with the blockchain so that we dont have to wait for it to update a years worth of transaction or do the additional download steps when getting a new wallet?

I have a feeling if it was possible you may already do it, so maybe that's not technically possible, but if it is I think it would be worth the effort.

Also, what is the smallest unit of PIVX? .00000001?

The rewards vary, but from personal experience having exactly 50% of my pivx in masternodes,
you get almost the same rewards recently, with masternodes rewarding slightly more.

I would get 30 - 50 % more stakes than masternode reward payouts a day, but stakes being 80% of the masternode payout.
So staking is providing a nice return with the current masternode numbers.

Yeah I hope so. I have 2 alts currently, Dash and Monero, one is going down, the other up.

Obviously before I sell I want everything to go up but I dont intend to sell any time soon.

This did bring up a question for me actually, I didnt know we could "stake wallet". Maybe I dont need to encourage everyone to dump Pivx so I can afford a masternode.

If I have 10,000 pivx in a staked wallet vs 10,000 pivx in a master node, what would the income difference be? (or, 10,000 in a master node, 5000 in a staked wallet? ie, coin for coin what is the difference in earning?)

I dont think non-masternode holders need to have a "vote" per say, as they are not invested enough in the currency. They can still provide their input via forums etc, but I dont believe people with too little invested should have a direct vote so to speak. It would be kinda like me voting on the US president when I live in Australia. Yes the decision affects me a bit, but, I dont have enough at stake to have a vote.

I think non-masternode holders should be able to make use of the 10% budget however, all you should need is a wallet and a pitch for that. I think the dash system of requiring a certain ammount of Dash to be able to make a proposal is a good system, though the amount needs to vary based on the coin price not be hard coded. Perhaps every month a vote could be had for the price to submit a proposal for the next month or something?

have exact same strategy , and will take you on the offer to join your club, crypto is a fun tech to be in it juust for the money ? eh...  and so I refuse to participate in trading games.. what happened here are these master nodes sells so that depleted the network, but I refuse to be part of it lol. let others sell to others, would be better if the network grows to like 5000, 10,000 nodes, the more the stronger the network the higher price.. not even new exchanges will be as positive to price movement as this

That is why I bought in. People talking about copy paste coins that don't bother looking at the Github have no idea what they are talking about. Litecoin was a clone, a clone of Fairbrix, that was based on Tenebrix. It was the 3rd version that really became the gold standard. Bytecoin had awesome tech, but a shady past and it was not fair, Monero cloned and improved it, they are now the real Darkcoin, actually being used on the largest Darkmarket in the Deep Web. Yes, I also like that it is cheap, I love that I see constant updates on Github. Everything I am seeing shows this as a good option to diversify into. Never all in, but part of a balanced portfolio.

edit: If you check my signature, everyone that wants to can join the CCC, it is a great Alt Group, Free, the most popular on Facebook, which is the most popular social network. It is a no FUD zone, but people are free to promote legit projects there. Looks like a lot of people think PIVX is pretty cool.

My experience has been completely opposite, the devs here have been very helpful and post updates regularly.

Even when criticized about the name change, they gave me a good answer and respectful.

I don;t know who grabbed bytecoin (and hiding it that one did till later block explorer so much work done in developing and more envisioning it! (they did crypto night also that is, kid of dumb on strategy brilliant on innovation) in millions but yeah... tough one to continue on that one , also only once quantum cryptology proof is developed nothing in crypto is safe.. I feel SHA-256 might be (no one really knows why it works the way it does +chaos attractors in it)

No need to dream, been there done that countless times. Many in the top 30 were picks of mine long ago. This is not proof of work and holding is incentivized, so you are failing with the fundamentals. Truth is, it is just a matter of if people want the best Dash alternative at a cheap price they can stake easily, or not. They had a premine and I thought no big deal compared to the Dash instamine, but they even burned the premine as it was just for testing masternodes. This has the fundamentals of Monero compared to Bytecoin in the long run. No guarantees, this is crypto, but I am having fun with it. Dash holders are out of their freaking minds to even comment here. One of the main reasons Dash is so popular was all the trolling it had. Kept attention constantly.

go to the PIVX Data Dir. Delete all expect wallet.dat, peers.dat, masternode.conf and pivx.conf (and allways Backup your wallet.dat!).

If you don't want to resnyc from scratch you can use may chain auto backup from one of my masternodes (never older than 2 hrs)

extract the tar.gz to a temp folder (use winrar if you don't know about tar.gz) and copy the blocks and chainstate folder to your data dir (u can also use my peers.dat but thats optional)  

restart the wallet and you should be fine

let me know if it works and/or if you need the backup after 45 Minutes from now.
