I would say Motivations are to create a Private (Anonymous), Instant (fast), Verified (secure), Transaction (currency) , driven by the community who are rewarded by supporting the network and deciding on direction by voting.

You can invest as little as 1 PIV and stake to get rewarded however the more you have increases your chances and frequency.

PIVX already integrates quite well with Tor, and has been doing so for a long time already.

This is phishing for referral bonuses (read the underlying URLs). I have no problem helping people out if they're up front and honest about it, but come on, man. This isn't doing you or the staking pool spammers any favours.

Anyway, here's the obligatory reminder about the risks of using staking pools, and the fact that the ONLY time you should consider using them is if you have a very small amount of PIVX and are willing to take the risks. Also, most of the other referral links listed are for things that are potentially sketchy and have nothing to do with PIVX (exceptions: Binance, which is a great exchange, and CoinPayments, which can be a useful service--though you can sign up for both without using @jogade's sneaky referral links).

This budget proposal thing looks like an amazing feature. We can even start a proposal for Poloniex listing right Smiley. Anyone knows how much will be their listing charge.

PIVX (as you say, originally DarkNet, or DNET) originated in late 2015/early 2016 as a fork of DASH. While the two projects have since evolved and diverged significantly, PIVX and DASH share similar proposal models.

The best comprehensive explanation is still the one on the PIVX website: https://pivx.org/proposals/ However, here's a quick TL;DR version.

A portion of every block of PIVX is allocated to the budget. Previously, this was 0.5 Piv out of every block of 5; once the new wallet is released, it will be 1 Piv out of every block of 6. The budget is used to fund PIVX development (e.g., paying the Devs, etc.) and also to support community-backed initiatives on an 'as-available, as-approved' basis. The latter is where the proposal system comes in. Basically, anyone** can propose an idea to the community, lobby for it, submit it to the blockchain, and have the community vote on it. If voted in, the proposal is implemented and, if applicable, supported by funds from the budget. Note that, along with all fees on the PIVX network, any budget that remains after all expenses have been paid in a given month (i.e., Dev salaries, funds allocated to implementing approved proposals, etc.) is permanently burnt. Thus, there is a tradeoff between adding new features and reducing the total supply.

**Currently, while anyone can propose and lobby for a new idea, voting can only take place through Masternodes. There are various ideas on how to further democratize this, with a more inclusive community governance model expected to be developed in the future. As of now, though, there's no set timeframe on this.

Yes, I understand. But my point is that 90% of altcoin investors will have an account with at least one of Binance, UpBit, Bittrex, etc. Of course we should always aim for more + better exchanges, which is what the community fund supports, but we are already in good shape (even moreso with the recent listing on https://fexpro.io/).


PIVX will continue to grow and develop, with many new features upcoming (https://pivx.org/what-is-pivx/roadmap/). No one can accurately predict the future, and no one can say what the price will be in Q2, Q3, or the year 2024. But if the PIVX team continues to deliver on its promises, there's reason to be optimistic for the future.
