Not a PIVX problem. Yobit is notorious for failing to update wallets (not just for PIVX). All PIVX or any other coin can do is remind them. Your coins are stuck there until Yobit gets off its ass, which may or may not ever happen. Sorry.

More generally, use Yobit only if you absolutely have to. Cryptopia caters to a similar demographic (i.e., they list pretty much any coin that wants to be listed) but is far less shit. But for something pretty established and 'mainstream' like PIVX, better to use a reputable exchange regardless. Bittrex is usually a safe choice.

Don't use Yobit, ever.

Their standard response is "wallet needs an update".

It's not a PIVX problem, Yobit can just use the latest release from Github, like every other exchange.

I think it's realistic to hope for a market cap of at least 500 mil by the end of the year bringing the price up to the 9-11$ range. It's a huge step for PIVX and people have been waiting for a long time for this. In the next few weeks there will most certainly be a hype and i hope after that the price remains stable at around 8-9$! In 2018 assuming all goes well with the new wallet and zpiv implementation, as well as the usability of the coin we should see a steady increase to 15$. Just my 2 satoshi.

Actually, staking PIVX alone pays more than enough to cover the costs of my VPS.
Also running a Waves node on it.

When the icon is right clicked in the task bar, the menu is completely blank. If the wallet is closed, then one cannot retrieve the normal window wallet again because the taskbar icon is missing a menu.

unfortunately, this is one of the issues with Unity desktop and Ubuntu, and it is seemingly specific to just that combination (it is an issue with the Qt5 library supplied by Ubuntu and how Unity handles tray menus).

btw, this kind of issue report really should be made on github in the future. Don't rely on these forums to have your issue seen by someone on the dev team.
