There shouldn't be any issue with displayed hashrate on scrypt coins, no. Hashrate is displayed as a calculation based on your shares submitted in the past 10 minutes though, so if you use higher difficulties you'll see greater fluctuations.

would you suggest just using 64 then?

My hashrate on my own miners is displaying correctly and there haven't been any complaints in IRC, for what its' worth.

It is deff something wrong on your side.

I have 10mh of my own sitting there for a hour too. It is displaying as 2.5mh whereas i see on the servers as about 10

Edit: 7mh on 1024 diff = 1mh
2mh on 64 diff = 2mh

So is there a issue there maybe?

@PondSea It takes NiceHash time to ramp up, and ipoMiner displays a 10 minute average, so it can take some time there too. But if you're not seeing the correct hashrate after 15 minutes, something must be wrong and I wouldn't suggest you keep using it since you're paying for more hash than you are getting.

I have been hashing for last hour stable at 1+gh

@PondSea It takes NiceHash time to ramp up and it can fluctuate massively depending on other orders that are placed before/after yours at varying prices. Also, ipoMiner displays a 10 minute average, so it can take some time there for you to see the full hashrate on the site too. But if you're not seeing the correct hashrate after 15 minutes, something must be wrong and I wouldn't suggest you keep using it since you're paying for more hash than you are getting.

For those of you still interested in mining ShibeCoin right now while the multiport is mining something else, we added it on direct port 3444. Mining on it ends in the next day or two.

There is an "official" IVC pool, but everything on their site is in Chinese so it may be difficult to use if you aren't fluent in Chinese. Other than that, the network condition is in bad shape for it.. we were only able to get 3 connections on our wallet.

Thank you
I will check it tomorrow, now will mine SC on multiport.

Coins work based on the concept of a blockchain, which links blocks/transactions together. A "fork" means that there are multiple versions of the blockchain in existence. Sometimes forks can be caused by multiple wallet versions, with people mining on different versions. In the case of IVC though, we are on the same wallet version, but the blockchain has been "forked", or diverged, from the blockchain that MintPal sees as being correct. That means that our coins are not seen as being valid by Mintpal. Unfortunately, it isn't worth the administrative overhead to maintain a small coin with problems like this, so we won't be resuming mining of IVC.

Sorry but this small coin was 0.005+ btc/mh/day from weeks
if you see all other coins is much much lower than IVC. The IVC income was the most stable in last few weeks.

If you not want to fix it is there any other pool that is on a right fork and I can continue to mine this coin?

Of course we'll continue working to determine how many coins are on the correct blockchain and getting them distributed to miners accordingly.

@saykor IVC is forked -- most of the IVC that we mined recently were mined on the wrong fork (not the one that Mintpal is on), and it is going to take a lot of work to fix. We're not going to continue mining IVC. We're trying to sort out how much IVC each miner should actually have and resume allowing withdrawals, but it is a time consuming process.

@lajz99 Can you email [email protected] with the txid?

I am not exactly sure what fork mean but it is only for our pool or globally?

If this is a problem on our pool only it is possible to install the right wallet on a new port so we can continue to mine.
as for the old coins you can have as much time you need to fix them if is possible.

The thing to be aware of with VLT is that it uses a Bitcoin-style difficulty retarget time of 2016 blocks. Profitability will be dramatically different after every difficulty change.

@barean Sorry for the delay, I'll look into it and get back to you via email.

Okay never mind, it must have gotten fixed around the time I was reporting the VLT issue... because now I see the exchange rate and the profitability showing up in the dashboard.  Although, I wish I hadn't seen it... profitability looks awful right now LOL
