Maybe you could get investors, up the pool cost to 2%, try something else?

Depending on costs, maybe I could take it over?

Why not allow for other algos?

Due to server costs, Coin Catcher will be closing down in the next couple of days. Please point your miners at another pool to avoid any downtime.

Thanks to all our 1000+ users that got onboard since our launch in February - it was a fun project and it's a shame to have to bring it to an end!

Yep, it was a good pool. Unfortunately, GPU scrypt mining is dead.

Apologies about that - there were some server issues earlier today which gave us a few hours of downtime. All is fixed now.

Hey, glad you like the pool. We've found that mining CHNCoin and Elacoin generally give us the least amount of variance and so allow for consistent daily earnings. Elacoin's confirmation times aren't ideal, but mining it should give higher payouts when averaged out over a few days. If we're able to grow our hashrate it will give us more options, but right now these coins are the most reliable Smiley

I think this pool is great, but I wish you would stop mining Elacoin. The payments remain unconfirmed for far too long.

After a couple of weeks of testing, we are pleased to announce that Coin Catcher is now using variable difficulty (VARDIFF).

During our beta, vardiff was our most requested feature by far, as the majority of other multipools are fixed at 512. This should allow for less variance, particularly with less powerful mining hardware.

We've also improved our algo which has brought our average payouts in line with most other pools.

Fees are still 0% for the time being, so give it a go - any feedback is welcomed.

wondering what network the irc channel is on?

To be honest we haven't really been using it as our user base has been small so have been dealing with issues via email and on here.

It should be set up as 'coincatcher' on freenode anyway.

Do you have any plan on providing an EU server ?

ALSO, please add "Reddcoin" , "USDe" , "Kittehcoin" , "Florin" , "GlobalCoin" , "Doubloons", "Auroracoin" , "Earthcoin". These coins are in top 3 profitable coins most of the time.

An EU server will be the next location we add, but it won't be possible until we're out of the beta and have grown our total hashrate some more. I'll keep you updated.

Quite a few of those coins are on our upcoming list already - you should start to see new ones appearing each day. Thanks for the suggestions!

Really like what you're doing and I'm going to keep hashing with you for awhile.  I'm recommending you on cryptocointalk.com but a fair question was raised - interested in your answer.

What some people want to know is how we can be mining coins that bring an estimated .06ish per day but the performance number shows something larger than that.  I said that the estimates below are moment to moment and that the number at the top is an avg over 24 hours - but I don't often see the estimates in the coin list performing at a level that should raise our average.

Can you offer some explanation?  Thanks.

Hey, thanks for recommending us - it’s much appreciated!

It’s hard to say without looking into the specific times with more detail, but there are a couple of likely causes:

- The last few days we’ve seen coins we mine move up and down in profitability quite a bit. The estimated earnings as you said is based on 24 hours so is always trailing behind by many hours.

- The values shown in the coin list are simply based on price and difficulty at the moment. In reality, some coins perform much better and others much worse. Feathercoin for instance seems to generally out-perform our predictions, which bumps up the estimated earnings, but not the value shown in the coin list. Soon we may start to adjust the values in the list based on their past mining performance, which should bring everything a bit more in line.

Hope that makes sense, and cheers again for hashing with us Smiley

No good mining coins you can't sell half the time because the exchanges are beyond unreliable.

GrandCoin is now active again. It was disabled because CoinChoose is currently reporting an incorrect block height, and this is one of our reference points.

Hey, thanks for giving the pool a try.

We've been having real trouble getting the MinCoin wallet to sync to the correct blockchain. It was mined earlier today but on a bad fork, so we disabled it and covered the losses that were incurred from it - we are taking the hit for any issues that are out of the users' control. So in the meantime we're being very careful with MinCoin until it's back on the right chain, but it's high on our priority list to get this coin sorted.

GrandCoin is reporting a problem - will look into it.

Thanks for the feedback - we're still working hard to get the pool as profitable as possible.

Also why is Grandcoin inactive, we have plenty of hashrate to mine that coin?
