If the wallet ran previously without problems there is a chance that somehow your db data got corrupted.
Delete everything in your Roaming/Postcoin folder except wallet.dat and launch the wallet again.
IMPORTANT: KEEP THE wallet.dat FILE. IF YOU DELETE THAT FILE YOUR COINS WILL BE LOST

if you dont find do a seach of postcoin folder, try to run the executable in compatibility mode (win7), you windows 8 is 32bits or 64 bits?
if you search for wallet.dat file you don´t find nothing?
