There will be 3rd round of airdrop, just wait patiently for dev announcement in this theard Don't worry How do we know what the total amount that has already been airdropped in total AD1 +AD2?
Lastly, will AD3 = the 800k that is Airdropped?

what does it take to participate in the 3rd round of the airdrop? 
You have to wait, there 3rd airdrop terms and start wasn't announced keep that in mind Since we have this great system in place now and lot's of people are registered within it.
I would assume that anyone who has participated in the 2nd round is automatically enrolled in round 3?

From an old post:
For example:
Blob has 100 tokens, he hold them for the whole first year and mine every 3 days.
Alice has 100 tokens, she hold them for the whole first year and mine every 90 days.
If we use 100% to do the calculation:
Blob will receive 100*((1+100%/365*3)^(365/3)) ≈ 271 POS
Alice will receive 100*((1+100%/365*90)^(365/90)) ≈ 241 POS
You can see that the effective interest rate of first year range from 140% to 170%. The totalSupply will increase to at least 2.4 Mil after the first year, this is bad for the whole system.
But if we use 77% to do the calculation:
Blob will receive 1000*((1+77%/365*3)^(365/3)) ≈ 215 POS
Alice will receive 1000*((1+77%/365*90)^(365/90)) ≈ 200 POS

I executed the mint() command twice form myetherwallet. Is there anyway to see that its activated except wait atleast three days and see if new coins are minted?
