We are not being hit by any DDOS

a lot of the pools were hit with an ntp inflection attack. they seem to have stopped for now.

Ok - bit of a call for help here.

A lot of the public pools mining raven dark are being attacked by some unknown entity (ddos). If there are any larger, mature pools out there that would be willing to add support for raven dark, that would be much appreciated.

please hit me up in the discord for more info.

thank you for your support!

1000 blocks is less than a day's worth. have to make sure everything works before it's announced, right?

i turned off the masternode i had running.

besides, i'm planning on giving away the majority of the pre-mine and it's only 0.11% of the total.

1000 blocks is a ton considering that anyone else will have to compete against other miners to get their blocks.  That's why you test on a testnet.

Too little too late, I'm sure it will be turned back on soon.  There is nothing stopping you and you already have enough coin to make several.

A far more effective way of "giving away" the premine would have been to let miners fairly mine it.  Using it to pay for exchange listings or bounties isn't giving it away, it's stealing it from everyone else who might mine this coin.  Trying to play it off as if it's no big deal just makes it worse.

thanks man. i appreciate your opinion. i'm not going to get rich off of 1000 premined blocks (nor am i aspiring to), but i do need something to barter with. i created this by myself, but can foresee needing a little help here and there in the future. just trying to make meaningful contributions to the cryptosphere. not everyone will agree with everyone else's decisions, but that's the world we live in.

i just discovered that the .gitignore file was too strict and was excluding files that it shouldn't have been. this is now fixed. please pull and try building again. and just in case - this should be done in linux, preferably ubuntu.

Tnx, I'll try this later.
I'm using Ubuntu 14.04.5 btw.

Any pools supported by Nicehash?  All the ones posted say difficulty too low.

i'll look into adding a new port with increased difficulty to the official pool.

Thank you!   Grin Grin

http://pool.raven-dark.com should be all set to handle nicehash now, as per their docs. https://www.nicehash.com/pool-operators. no port change needed.
