Also just fyi... the bakd.io branding and actual landing page is on its way. Try your best not to judge us by the horrendous one currently up. It's merely a (very short-term) placeholder.
We understand 100% how important the branding is and will be. in my experience, people tend to literally be afraid of poorly designed sites, as if they'll get a virus just from looking at it
That said, what's up now will not be there much longer!

We've had a handful of people ask about if, when, and where we've listed our project -- as far as ICOs go.
Just to be clear, at this point in time, there are no plans to have an ICO for BAKD.
We feel that having an ICO for BAKD would be hypocritical, seeing that we're building our platform based on the fact that we believe the ICO model is flawed.
Opportunities will still exist for early stage investors interested in becoming a part of BAKD -- just not in the form of an ICO.
Who knows. Maybe we'll run the first BAKD campaign for BAKD itself once we finish the alpha, as a proof of concept.
We're still ironing out details, so if you have any thoughts and want to have a hand in shaping the future of BAKD, join the conversation!

Hi! Do you have plans to put your token on exchangers?
Absolutely. However, we don't plan to worry about where quite yet.
Main concern right this second is finalizing the whitepaper, roadmap, etc. Next would be finishing an alpha and testnet.
But, don't get me wrong, we do plan to try and get listed at as many exchanges as possible when the time is right.

- BAKD.io (Alpha Web App: BAKD.me) is an online crowdfunding community for cryptocurrency projects. Entrepreneurs who work a full time job already (or maybe not!) can apply to be vetted and list their project ideas on our platform. Doing so gives them instant credibility because of our vetting process, and it also allows them to find backers, mentors, advisors, or other developers for said project. All under one roof.
Any investment funds taken in during a BAKD campaign will be held in a vault for whatever the pre-defined agreed upon duration may be. Project owners will need to setup their disbursement schedules before ever starting their campaigns. These disbursements will be handled automatically by the BAKD system, never needing any human intervention. This is key to avoid having developers and project owners end up with massive million dollar lump sums, and zero initiative left to continue on building what they set out for, in turn fostering motivation and innovation. Various contests between project owners will also foster a sense of competition between projects, hopefully intensifying the innovation and motivation.
This allows someone who isn't 100% sure they are ready to leave their current day job (like myself, for the past 5 years), a way to test the water and see if they can't reach their goal of 1, 2, 3, 6, or 12 months of runway time to get a functioning beta out the door.
All of this will be made possible using the BAKD utility token. This will give investors the ability to invest in BAKD campaigns, and it will be the currency in which all disbursements are made to project owners during the life of their BAKD campaign. Disbursements will ONLY continue on if pre-defined milestones are met.
If a project begins to lose traction, developers drop off, or the project turns out to just be a plain old scam -- whatever investor funds are left that have not been disbursed WILL BE RETURNED!
Until the "beta completed" milestone is reached, project owners will NOT have access to the entire sum of invested funds, at ANY time. Disbursements can be made on a weekly or monthly basis, and always in pre-defined amounts. As mentioned, project milestones will need to continue to be met in order for the disbursements to continue or the platform will automatically discontinue disbursements and enter the project into a "danger zone." If the project owners do not rectify the situation fast enough the campaign is terminated, and the remaining investor funds are returned.
- BAKD.io | The BAKD information website. Still very much under construction, but home to all of our documents and future announcements
- BAKD.me | The BAKD Main Web Application website. We have decided to deploy the alpha from literally day 1 of development, until we finish. All (frontend) code will be open source (any sensitive code will need to be housed in our private repositories, and accessed via a RESTful API for obvious reasons).
- BAKD.network | The BAKD Network Protocol website. As soon as the Web App alpha is to the point where it is functional enough to handle a campaign from start to finish, we will begin working full steam on the BAKD token network. This website will be it's home base. From which you can view specs, docs, integration libraries, wikis, network stats, etc.
