Hi, I love the concept but as an investor myself in many ICOs what I see missing is the why should I give you money? What is CareCoin going to do for me if I hand it $5K? Is it a dividend coin? Every time a nurse or patient uses the coin, does a percentage roll back to holders? The product is definitely filling a need and I love the fact you have a working prototype when so many other projects do not, but I would like to hear why this is a good investment for those contributing. I personally am looking for long term investment projects and this totally sparked my interest, just looking for more info on the long term prospects for investors.
GREAT Question Redmption! And one that is crucial to the success of CareCoin...
The Care4Me platform is owned by Helios Health Group, Inc., a Medical investment company that invests in all sectors of the Health Industry. Upon the successful launch of Care4Me and with funds raised at our Pre-ICO and official ICO we hope to invest in acquisitions of major Health companies such as clinics, medical supplies, health tech companies, drug companies and hospitals. We plan to use these acquisitions and developments as the stepping stone into launching CareCoin as a health asset accepted within the health industry.
It will take a lot of work before we get there but we hope that by creating a stable currency that serves as a health asset for healthcare it may benefit millions of people world wide who lack access to healthcare. Industry specialists, economists, tech experts, legal experts and financial experts will be hired to make this a reality if our Presale and ICO are successful.
Hope this answered your questions. If you have follow up questions we welcome you to ask away.
Thank you!
Very much see the vision here, thank you for the quick response! I know a few people in the medical industry that would love the ease of use this brings. More and more excited about this project
Hi Redmption,
I am the software development lead on the Care4Me project. You raise an excellent point that what is the coin supposed to do?
In our application's technical design we are spending a lot of effort on making the coin a core element of the application's architecture. What attracted me to Ethereum token technology, after thirty years of financial and trading software coding, is the programming power of the Smart Contract.
Unlike other blockchains out there, the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) allows the software developer to perform programming actions of any complexity right on the chain, visible to the public. Of course, not every software function in Care4Me needs to be performed on-chain. However, certain actions are best broadcast on this public ledger. Here are some activities we expect to do on-chain, which will innately make Care4Me stronger compared to completely proprietary nursing services platforms:
1. Certification of Nurses' professional qualifications by independent reviewers, what we call the Director of Nursing function, and publication of the proof of this work on the blockchain.
2. Reviews of Nurses' performance on cases assigned to them will be recorded on the chain.
3. Customers who use the nursing services will be awarded coins as loyalty points, and will be able to redeem them to pay for goods and services, similar to airline miles.
4. Performance rewards to nurses will use coins, similar to gift-card programs.
5. We will facilitate the exchange of coin balances with other popular token coins, so that nurses and customers can redeem their rewards for tokens and points issued by other companies and platforms. This trading liquidity, combined with the use of the coin as a payment medium, will give it the characteristics that make a currency widely held and used.
6. As a specialized currency focused on nursing and related medical services, we will add the element of trust to financial transactions because all the parties on our platform will have been through some kind of review or evaluation process, and the results will be recorded on the blockchain, tamperproof, and for all to see.
Of course, all this will not happen overnight. We are gearing up for the long haul. With your support at the presale, we will have the development budget to roll out a minimum viable product (MVP) in the next 3-4 months. The MVP will showcase the innovative use of smart contract functionality in Care4Me, and will allow us to proceed to ICO, so that we can take this project to the full enterprise level.
Please remember to sign up on the website (
https://carefourme.com ) so that you can participate in the presale starting July 17, 2017.
