Awesome Markus! You're one heck of a DEV for coming up with this project and keeping up with the community's requests. I'm not all that experienced of a day trader, and I'm still learning. But I would like to say, hey I think QTL (or any alt) is going to trade between these two ranges for the next couple hours, configure my entry, exit, and stop loss, then go to work (or out to dinner, whatever) and know my orders will be placed Smiley

Keep up the great work!

This is a great idea. Thanks for making the application available and for the quick enhancements.

One thing i really want (and it may already be there, and I'm just too dumb to see it) is a way for me to pick a coin say QTL for example, and then be able to set an automated task to watch the price, and if it dips to a price that i set, it executes a buy order for number of coins i set. And then it just keeps polling the price of that coin, if it goes up to a price I set earlier then it executes a sell order for the coins it purchased earlier. Of course it would need a stop loss mechanism too.

Perhaps this IS already what the ping pong function does, but I haven't been able to get it to do what I'd like. Any ideas or any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Cheers,
Pit

I've been thinking about this as well.  If you read the Quatloo Trader Ann Thread,  you'll see there have been many many great suggestions.  Now that 2.x version is out and stable.. I intend to go through the list and add these ideas.

Older coins, some didn't have any inherent value, were worth much more too!  That'll change here shortly.

Older bots (and some didn't even work right) used to cost upwards of 1 btc....Just saying.

my 3000 QTL is worth 0.4 BTC.. the marketcap is currently like 100k so the price could easily 10x... at which point the app would be way too expensive, The Dev will need to adjust the price once a week or something.

Or more intelligently set a fixed dollar/BTC value and have the APP automatically update the QTL holdings requirement on a daily basis.

Funny to see people dumping when Quatloo trader has a feature to sell off over time without affecting the market much.

The release of Quatloo Trader v2.0 will be delayed 24hrs.. release will be  8/26/14 11pm EST.  The OP at the trader thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=711966.0)  has been changed to confirm this.
I have to ensure no problems  and all exception handling. plus poloniex checks for balance towards the required qtl to unlock... it will sum the 2 account holdings to unlock (Poloniex + Bittrex)  I could not foresee the addition of listing of QTL on  Poloniex a day before release.  All will be great and I hope you all understand.  So, anyways,  Lets get excited for tomorrow night!  it's definite.

To answer some of the questions above... I will be making a tutorial video for the new Quatloo trader , v2.0.  After the release Monday night, there will be quick updates over the following week for new function additions that had to wait because I was completely busy just getting everything to work great for all 3 exchanges that already existed in the original trader as well as the extras that are obvious... lots of improvements.

For arbitrage... there will not be any auto functions for arbitrage in this first release.. Just alot of great info in the common market datagrids to do it manually till it the auto work gets done. Smart auto functions are also going to be added asap.

Regarding Mac versions .. sorry.  Maybe I should have coded it in Java but i didn't/  I wasn't aware that mac is so finicky for .net mono.  It works on linux!

Looking forward to the tutorial, and the new release earlier today.

What can I say, I heard about QTL yesterday, and have picked up over 3.5k already - I wish I'd bought more last night when they were 7k, but I still got some more this morning around 9k each.

Now, looking at the Sells on Bittrex, there's only enough coins listed there (at the time of writing) to get just 40 new people involved with the Trader (based on the 1,000 QTL minimum holding).

40k of sells, for 40 new users, takes the price to around 14k SAT.

Now imagine there's just 100 new users, 200 new users, 500 new users.....

I've learned my lessons from investing in coins with no future before, no USP, no decent dev - been lucky sometimes, been stung more often than not.

I've spent my morning reading through every comment on here, all 34 pages, and I really like what I see.

You've got my interest, investment, and someone who'll help spread the word where possible. The fundamentals here are unique, and in a world where everyone copies the herd, you've released a unique new idea which benefits everyone who joins.

My only regret is not reading about this sooner Smiley

If QTL get to be too high priced.. there will be updates released to allow for lower holdings.  We are working on finding other solutions.. maybe based on BTC value? .. but that could also be problematic.  Just be assured that We are going to be reasonable about it whatever happens.

You could fix to the price of btc on a date in history. Then change the amount to reflect that price.
