I'm interested in this coin but I agree it definitely needs an exchange beside Poloniex. I used to use poloni before their first hack. Then when the hack happened the chat box was spamming "POLONI'D, BOLOGNA'D, GET YOUR COINS STOLERONI'D". But now that it is a KYC exchange most of its use goes out the window and its customer support is absolutely garbage.

Was there a new dev since 2014? I read here that the dev may not be active...

if we can list on bittrex maybe it can pump x10 - x15

Sure, but how would a top exchange list a coin that is not updated since years, with the founder not responding at all? They will just think that this is another shitcoin not worth bothing with.

I dont use windows, but I do agree that gatra needs to get the windows wallet out very soon.  It should be a priority if he wants to keep this as a fair launch.

As for a pool, yes needed, no not coming soon.  This is a new PoW and building pool software for it is going to take time.  I'll talk to ypool and beeeer as they are pretty well versed in creating a pool interface for new PoW's

I think that you need to sync yourself, you are 4 years behind, dudette!

As price goes down, miner stop mining the coin, which makes it easier to mine for others. So at some point it reaches an equilibrium.

I wish the developer was a bit more active, but understand is probably A LOT of work to get things off the ground.

Without the founder and any active development, the price could be just zero. It just seems that there are still some people interested in this project, or believing that things will be better in some point in the future. But honestly, I do not see any reason to buy any RIC at all, I am just cashing them out (when possible).

And unfortunately, no Riecoin miner can cash out anything currently... XPoolX, we count on you to deliver a Riecoin exchange. Any news? Were you able to have some working prototype? Any estimated date for release?

If we can build exchanges within the community, it is the best.

Gatra abandoned this project since long. Somebody or some group might one day be willing to become an unofficial representative and become de facto the head of Riecoin after establishing its reputation.

Poloniex has rolled out numerous coins in recent months and Riecoin continues with its operations! Cheesy

There are many coins with much less volume than Riecoin.

After doing some digging on this it appears that Yobit is probably the best option for now. Their listing fees are as follows.

• Free - 0.00 btc - no guarantee
• Premium - 0.1 btc - 4-7 business days (no guarantee in case of compilation issues)
• Exclusive - 0.5 btc - 2-3 business days (no guarantee in case of compilation issues)

I am not a huge fan of Yobit, but it has more reputation than these no-name exchanges.
Since this is much cheaper than I had expected, I think we should go with the 0.1 BTC option.

Once the coin is listed at Yobit, I would donate all pool fees to get listed on a better exchange.

TradeSatoshi seems to be a reasonable option for a third exchange with a listing fee of 1.5 BTC.

CoinEX (Operated by ViaBTC) seems to be another trustworthy option but they require gatra to submit details from a riecoin.org email(They also require some personal info from dev)

What does everyone think about Yobit for now?

Mmm... Seeing someone complain about wallets under maintenance at YoBit here, and people with accounts disabled for no reason there does not convince me to even bother to list there.

In the French website, a guy says: "impressive number of "wallet under maintenance"" and "almost non existent technical support". Another says "I confirm that Yobit is the worst trading shit that can be exist, no deposits are possible and when you can earn a bit, they block the wallets the time the price goes down, or manage to steal discretly your funds, they are definitively thieves!"

Exactly the same as the shit called Poloniex.

TradeSatoshi seems to be a bit better, but some more research needs to be done to see if they deserve 1.5 BTC for listing.

The best solution is still the built-in XPollX exchange.

Ziiip, could you not use the funds to hire someone to create an exchange for your pool?

Seems the best option so far, so why not.

Thank you both ziiip and dga for your help and donations !!

Hi Everyone,

I am Isoetes from EXVO.io Exchange. Riecoin Community members have approached us about adding your coin to our exchange. We cannot list it for free, but the listing fee is only 0.25 BTC. I'd have to check with the software developers to make sure your wallet is compatible but shouldn't be any issues. https://exvo.io/documents/addcoin

We can have it listed quite fast after payment. Come chat to us on Discord if your community is interested. https://discord.gg/xKfAhd2

Considering your exchange is very new and with basically zero volume (RIC does more volume with wallet disabled on Poloniex than your entire exchange in one day)

I think you should list RIC for free as it would dominate the volume on this brand new exchange.

Awesome, Ziiip and DGA! Thank you so much.

Anyone interested in the Isoetes' offer? Currently, if we could list Riecoin in any other exchange, no matter how small is it, it would be great (as long as the exchange does not suck like Poloniex).

Isoetes, you exchange seems to be very small currently, and there is like 5-10 BTC average daily volume on Poloniex. I think that most of it will migrate to your echange if you list it now, this would be a great boost for your exchange. So, I encourage you to add Riecoin, is should be as easy as coins like Litecoin.

And seriously Gatra... Even if you are busy, just take like 1 hour to support your Riecoin community man!

Does anyone know how legit that exchange is?
Doesn't look legit at all.

I will tell you a secret - you can list there for 1000 exvo coins or 0.25 BTC. 1000 EXVO = about 0.05 BTC. So the choice is obvious Smiley

I talked with gatra briefly and asked if we could delegate a member of the community to talk with exchanges but he has not responded to that request.

I propose that we create a community fund to help with exchange listing fees.

I would like to allocate all pool donations for that purpose but that doesn't help the current situation since I will be unable to exchange them.

I Will commit at least 0.5 btc to this fund for starters.

I'll add another 0.25.
