I am antshares holders, I wanted to know if the rumor about cooperation with aliba was somehow confirmed? Can anyone write about current ant plans?

I also remember they mentioned alibaba when ANS started. Also we have a very good MM on the exchanges, really like his style.

Why everytime when I update the wallet it starts synchronization from 0 ? :/
There are updates frequently so it's absolutly time-consumed.
Any hints how to make wallet usefull?

I think there is another way mentioned maybe 20 pages back or so to synchronize the wallet in about 7 minutes instead of hours if not half a day. I forgot exactly what it was as I had not yet had the need for it.
Thanks, but i am unable to find it Sad
Could any more experienced user (Devs??...) help me?
Now I have /over1030000, but first number is only 70000 :/
It takes over one day for me now, It shouldn't last so long

ATTENTION: Antshares Windows wallet users

As usual no help from the dev team. If you plan to upgrade your wallet to the latest version, don't let it sync the blockchain on its own, it will take forever.

Download the bootstrap file at https://www.antshares.org/client/chain.acc.zip and unzip to the installation folder. And then delete the "chain" folder. Run AntsharesCore and it will sync very fast under 7 minutes. From there, the unzipped file "chain.acc" will automatically be deleted and a new "chain" folder will exist.

Joining the antshares crew here, just bought in during little dip. Let's see where this ant trail takes us in 6-12 months.
I'll get my wallet up and running in a few days.

New to ANS, and just moved my shares to my own wallet from Bittrex. Question though... why is the TX fee 1 ANS? Isn't that very high for low volume transactions? And won't the cost be quite substantial if the price of ANS drastically increases? If someone could explain better to me how this could impact the future, or if it will ever change, I'd love to know.

@bamsterdam, to my understanding, you must wait for it to completely sync. The numbers of XXXXX/XXXXX need to be equal... it was somewhere around 1,030,000 this morning. It will take several hours.

isnt that the fee bittrex uses maybe there is a little profit in it for them? Otherwise is seems a bit high indeed

My wallet is synced but nothing changed. I need to upload my wallet file? Does someone know what that is?

I don't believe so. The same 1 ANS fee was charged when I sent a few ANS back to my Bittrex wallet. I also read about the general fee being 1 ANS in this thread when doing a search... just doesn't make any sense to me for long-term growth. Imagine if ANS hits the price of what ETH is today... nobody will ever want to pay a $350 fee for moving small amounts.

Also, to create a wallet, it should be the first option... don't have the program open right now to tell you exactly what it is. It will ask for a location and name of the wallet file to create. Upload wallet file is how you will load the wallet afterwards when you open the client later.

hmm yes this a problem that hopefully can be solved in the future. Why is the fee set to 1 ans? Is it bc of the algo ans uses?

When I opened teh GUI the first time I was never asked to create name and wallet file  Huh really strange

I agree that they have to drop the transfer costs as competitiveness is not only about energy usage, transaction capacity and speed, but also the costs itself. As Antshares uses a fraction of energy that Bitcoin uses, it can afford to lower the rewards for operating the system respectively and thereby become even more attractive. Then again, at the moment I see excessive transaction fees at almost every cryptocurrency. At Coinbase for example I received a 'free $10 in Bitcoin' only to lose 1/3 of it when I transferred it to Bittrex. Those cryptocurrencies will never be used in day to day transactions if the costs are too high.

Interesting article about delegated Byzantine Fault Tolerance, thanks for sharing. Is the beta for Smart Contracts launched soon?

There is a count-down ticker on their website, which is saying in 8 days!!!   https://www.antshares.org/

It's for a developer conference. No launch yet.

Price are constantly are on increase although sometimes there is small correction but overall we can see upwards moves more. I do agree that before everything to be completed people still have time to buy. In a month or so time from now we will be seeing and talking about current prices that it was cheaper.

I think its better to buy antshares now as much as we can as the value will go double within the next 2 months and it will be a good profit for all,and if we can hold it for long time then the antcoin will give us nice profit in the future.
