How to start?
About
Round is a project of decentralized eSports gaming platform. The platform allows its participants or a group of participants to compete between each other for money in such popular online games as League of Legends, Dota 2 or Counter-Strike, etc.
Round
We are pleased to announce that we have finished working on the beta version of our platform — app.roundcoin.org. Initially we planned to include Dota, but after long discussions and debates we decided to start with Counter-Strike. More engaging and competitive gameplay as well as quick matches (as opposed to Dota) will lay the foundation for a rapid launch of the Round platform. We also would like to apologize for failing to inform the forum community about the development process. We just got so used to work for result and get feedback at least upon the release of beta version instead of shaking the air and boasting about how got its gonna get implemented. However, we do agree that we should dedicate more time to informing about the development process. On the other hand, this period formed a kind of a minimum price of Round tokens at the exchange which has to benefit the launch of the entire project. From now on we’re going to add daily updates in our Telegram.
Beta Version is Now Ready
So, the beta is up and running and users can already enjoy Counter-Strike 1vs1 for Round tokens in the de_aztec map for 10/15 minute matches. Once the match is done the winner will immediately get payout form our ETH smart contract. Minimum bet is 10 Rounds. You need to have a Steam account and setup MetaMask wallet to be able to play. Ste-by-step Tutorial is enclosed. We tried to keep things user-friendly and as simple as possible. Current beta simultaneously supports up to 20-25 online matches and boasts the scale up capacity of up to 100+ games online.
We’ve spent lots of time studying marketing tricks for our project. We’ve studied the experience of successful startups in gaming and related industries. Now we are pleased to announce that we’ve found the perfect way to promote the project: the entire Round marketing effort will be built around Tournaments with a guaranteed prize pool. We offer weekly, monthly and annual main event tournaments. Please note that we – the developers – are in possession of 16% of the tokens released (160 millions). We also would like to inform that not all ICO funds have been spent, which gives us a great foundation for further work, improvements and updates.
Tournaments as the Core of Marketing
Now let’s talk in details about tournaments. From today onward we will hold $500 prize tournaments each Sunday; $5,000 prize tournament on the last day of each month and, finally, the main event of the year will take place on July 15, 2017 with the stupendous prize pool of $100,000 (equivalent in Round tokens; price is determinated 1 hours before the tournament). Selection of players will be based on a simple principle — TOP 64 based on the amount of Round tokens for weekly tournaments, TOP 128 for monthly and TOP 256 for the Main Event (we reserve the right to change only the selection terms, while guaranteed prize pools are not subject to any revision. For that purpose we are planning to create a smart contract or a separate account with a multi-signature and transfer tokens there).
We believe that the tournaments will be able to attract the critical mass of users to the project quite quickly. Gamers will be able to monetize their skills – which actually was our priority.
Other Marketing Channels
Currently we are launching the following user engagement channels:
1) We encourage their activity on the platform. TOP 25 users with the highest number of matches played will get weekly bonuses in Round tokens regardless of bet amounts or the number of wins and losses. Get Rounds while enjoying the game.
2) Running a signature campaign on forum. Get paid in bitcoins.
3) Twitch engagement: attracting bloggers, creating reviews. Target audience of gamers, truly.
4) Forum promotion to engage new first-time users: anyone with a rank of Jr. Member and above can get 200 rounds by participating in at least 1 match with a minimum bet of 10 rounds. Leave your feedback in the official thread and get 800 more rounds regardless of match results. To claim the bonus you need to send you Steam ID, Ether address and match ID in a private message. Publishing a video on YouTube or streaming on Twitch will get you additional 4,000 rounds. Send us your video link in the private message.
Plans for the Future
Now, some thoughts on the upcoming development plans. Firstly, we want to collect feedback from users, work on certain interface elements and test the platform in real-life conditions. Thereafter we want to grow our clientele and continuously work on improving the project (based on Counter-Strike experience):

option to bet on match results by observers (like a match played by famous team) and a part of observer’s bet will go into the winner’s prize pool. Achieving viral effect due to the interest of cyber-sportsmen in engaging loyal audience to watch their matches on Round platform;
continuous optimization and improvement of platform architecture.
And, last but not least, adding new games such as Dota, League of Legends, FIFA, and most importantly – new tournaments!
Technology
Based on Ethereum and being same as Firstblood such platform completely eliminates the dependence on third parties in determining the winner and paying the award in cybersports. The results will be processed quickly and securely. An interesting feature here is that the audience can bet on the outcome of games. Moreover, part of their bets will go to winner’s prize pool. Therefore, popular and prominent cybersports gamers can get extra reward from attracting attention to their game and audience can bet on the victory of their favorite player. In this case Round platform gets viral promotion effect. The project monetisation - fees.
Unlike in existing platforms all transactions in Round will be publicly audited, hackproof and not subjected to the risks of centralized processing. And last but not least, there’s no financial regulation. The results of each game will be automatically pulled directly from gaming servers and supervised by the so-called oracles that are selected randomly to reconcile the results. This will eliminate the risk of fraud.
Solution
Round project aims at joining the competitive environment of cybersports platforms by virtue of unique opportunities it offers. Overall, cybersports is an actively developing sector comprising millions of users competing in online games. Round represents the combination of elements of gambling (playing for money) and competition element. Similar pattern in observed in a poker game.
We believe that eSports tournaments for money with decentralized intermediary are a promising trend that provides a solution to a real problem and has all the chances for success. WEll first blood said they are not a investment coin and the coin will decrease in value over time. All it is is a token to play games with. But the price of the coin will depreciate. Its in their white paper and they warned people many times first blood is not a investment kind of a token. If your looking for investment in gaming it would be game credits. Anythign to do with gambling I think is going to be stopped by gaming sites. They can't allow gambling.

As dev stated he will implement integrated with Dota 2 :/Who did bitcoinsrus steal a website from? In case it was cleverhope's site, he may be happy to know that I tracked that fucker down and took a website over. I currently control it, but its possible that bitcoinsrus will try to steal it again.
As i said - ROUND is a scam. Stolen site, no good roadmap, anonymous dev, strange activity on liqui, also dev disappeared(17 december last visit here). Price goes down on liqui. Also i think that liqui made a good money on it, so be carefull with this exchange too.

So many Copycat Coins why do people compete so much in the Crypto World. Corporations do something called Co-Sponsorships, Co-Branding etc why are we not doing the same thing with Cryptocurrencies?
Co-Branding or Co-Sponsorship as you said may limit scamming so I'm sure Very little or no Dev of any project will consider doing such. It's sad to hear that rounds was a scam Project. The Community support was good but Dev had other intentions in mind. Sorry to all who got scammed
