to be sure, just run your wallet on a VM.

You could just download the wallet on a VM and then delete the whole VM when an exchange you use is added Smiley

If that's 'safe' I might give that a try ..
Could you aim me at a tutorial that explains how to do this ??

TIA

Triff ..

It's extremely safe, much safer than leaving your coins on an exchange!

I am constantly running multiple VMs (some Linux, some Windows). When a new wallet comes out, I just clone one of my VMs and download the new wallet to it in order to "sandbox" it. Basically, even if the wallet is compromised in some way, no damage can be done to your main system or other VMs because it is isolated. The trick is to use a separate VM for each wallet.

As someone already mentioned, Virtualbox is the way to go! It is totally free, you can install as many Linux distros as you want all for free, and then for Windows you can use a legit install CD if you have one or just grab an Windows ISO on the Pirate Bay  Smiley

+1
I dont understand why are you afraid of download and install wallet?
After mtgox i dont believe any exchange.

If you have never tried a virtual machine then I wouldn't start now.

You mention the word safe, most wallets are 'safe' to download. I have several wallets running most of the time.

We want to be sure about that we'll release a properly functional and irreproachable wallet.
Thank you for your understanding.

I'm not a big fan of downloading wallets ..
May I wait for an exchange listing on ( Bittrex ) before I claim my RSU ??

but why don't you download the wallet ?
you can also try the reserving feature and the investments. you don't have to dump it

If I had wanted to dump RSU I would have taken them via the NXT AE ..
I hold several coins long term ..
All on exchanges ..
No wallets on my PC ..
I use the online wallets for BTC and NXT ..

is it possible to claim RSU in NXT asset now?
Yes Shareholders still can claim their RSUnits, but in the last couple days we've got just a few claims.

should i claim when it will hit on other exchange ?? coz i hate NXT asset
Yes. Once the wallet will be released you can claim your shares anytime.

I have sent you several pm but I still did not receive my stake. Roll Eyes
We've already sent your RSUnits.

thanks, but why you did not send me until i have written in this thread, I have Pmd you long time ago.  Sad
We get a lot of PMs from newbies and newcomers for registration, and we have to explain anytime that the registration is closed or they didn't met the requirements to be able to get registered. Beside these also we get a lot of PMs regarding technical questions and other questions.
All beside these we concentrating mostly on the wallet release. We want to be sure about that we'll release a properly functional and irreproachable wallet. Thank you for your understanding.
