I've been sneaking around here at bitcointalk for quite some time now, but this is the first time I've felt the need to make a post! New coins are launched almost every day, but I still think Klondike is a breath of fresh air. I’ve got a really good feeling about this one for two main reasons:
Dev:
Like many others have pointed out, the launch was excellent. You can tell that all of this is well planned and that there is a project plan to follow through. No silly logo contests, no premine, no BS. Also, you can tell that he is really passionate about this and that there is more to it than money!
Community:
It's rare to read a thread where almost all of the posts (except for the ones regarding the pool problems, which are now settled) are positive yet balanced. No 'to the moon'-talk, just people being pleasant and supporting the progress with the understanding that it will take some time to build a solid, successful coin.
As for the future, it will be really interesting to see what dev has planned. I really hope it’s something that distinguishes us from the rest of the alt-coins. Maybe something like the Bitcoin 2 Credit Card? (Which has now disappeared, does anyone know why?) Hopefully all the other ‘must-have’-features like android and ios wallets will be ready soon.

It'll pick up, I believe this situation is a lot better than the manic launches and first few days alot of new alts have. Moon coin had a good start but slowly tailed off, earthcoin looks like it may be in a similar situation. As long as we all keep pushing we'll do great.

I need help my wallet not syncing it staops at 2 hours behind is there something i can do to fix it?
Make a copy or two of the wallet.dat file so you will not loose all you have mined so far...
Delete the Klondikecoin folder in users/username/appdata/roaming
Run the wallet file again and let it create the klondikecoin folder
Overwrite the wallet.dat file with you backup wallet.dat
Let her sync

My PC just fucked up and for whatever reason it deleted all my coin wallets and bat files for my miner. My wallet.dat files are still in their %appdata% folders. If I redownload the wallets is it going to copy over my coins? I am new at this and I really don't want to lose all my coins. I have been mining Klondike since it was released and I'll be pretty pissed if I lose those, and all my other coins I have.
You should be fine. It shouldn't replace the wallet.dat, but make a copy just in case.

Glad to help. Yep, you're detecting blocks, so you are solo mining. A bit of luck involved, but it's more of a probability based on the current coin difficulty and your hashpower. For me it takes a few hours on 900mhash/sec. Give it time to see if it is more profitable for you than pool mining.

If you have an Nvidia card, you need CUDAminer;
These are my settings for a Nvidia GTX 670 Phantom.
Then just run the bat file and you should be good to go. You may need different settings depending on what cards you have. You'll have to do some googling or forum searching, or just go here;

I switched to solo mine overnight to try my luck since I was finding a few blocks on the pool and was about breaking even in there.
2 orphans and 1 accepted block say that I will keep solo mining for a little while (more so now that the diff is going to lower on next retarget, unless RPC retargets first
