How much semux earn a validator?
Validators earn 10 SEMs per block + transaction fees. Block forging is done by validators round robin style.

Java has lot of features for developers, cross-platform and internet of things ready

only Java get some bad name about years ago for security issues, but Oracle has doing they best to make it safer.
but the best thing is the delegated BFT consensus algorithm it makes possible to make very fast transaction, without longtime conformations like Etherum or Bitcoin.
