I just got a PM from the DEV. Yea!

It's official you DO NOT need to keep your wallet open to earn stake rewards. But, as was just said, if no one runs their wallets then there are no transactions. But, I assume the dev will get several nodes going all the time to ensure that doesn't happen. It wouldn't be good.

I followed this advice and now my wallet is updated. However, my balance, stake and unconfirmed all say 0 SHARE. This despite my recent transactions showing the influx of my 65359 stake and an additional 132 that it was staking. Why is this the case? There are no outgoing transactions.

Can anyone help with this?

I also have that problem of not staking I've been trying for days to get an answer but no one seems to know Sad also you have to have your wallet encrypted and unlocked to stake i know that much because everyone keeps telling me that Lol

I found the BlackCoin FAQ on PoS staking. It seems you don't have to have your wallet open 100% of the time. I assume this coin will work the same. It's good info. http://www.blackcoin.co/faq/

ShareCoin needs to get ALOT more info on their site. This thread is full of the same questions over and over again.

Somebody mentioned this a few posts back that an open wallet is what keeps the system going. This absolutely true. Just like regular miners and their rigs keep BTC going. If 100% of the share wallets were closed their could be no transactions. Also, you do not have to encrypt your wallet ever. This is only for security. The only thing is if you DO encrypt your wallet (again, for security) then you have to use your password to unlock it before you can start mining. I think the newbie are confusing OPENING your wallet with UNLOCKING your wallet.

Why are these orders in red?

I just asked on the ShareXCoin thread that question. We think it is to highlight orders higher than 1 BTC.

I copy from the OP

"Multipool first round payout is sent. In this round we generated 9.77 BitCoin the exchange rate is: 400 satoshi. At this rate we can buy 2442500.0 ShareCoin
Will send ShareCoin to miners now using the ShareCoins generated from FeeShare sale and place a buy order of 9.77 Bitcoin at 400 satoshi to create buy support on: https://sharexcoin.com/market/SHARE_BTC
Will update details on http://sharecoin.info later today...."

Maybe is that ..

Of course it is that.

Announcing a market order in advance is always going to create trading ripples.

Not sure what you are saying. The multipool buy order was already gobbled up. The next order will be set at the current SHARE price, which is always the BID side, not the Ask side. So, currently the multipool will distributed based on 373 (current Bid) and then an Ask for 373 will be added with the multi-pool BTC.
This has nothing to do with the multipool. There are red orders on the other markets too. I notice that all of them are over 1 BTC. Best exemple is in the SUM/BTC market.

Just because you're poor does not mean automatically that everybody is poor.
Smart ppl bought tons of coins from dumpers and weak hands...
Don't come here crying and saying thing like "Ooooo...something is fishy here....ppl haz mani...mi not...."

omg...

* out of scope
* smart people don't buy a coin with 8% of the total market on the top sell side after a few days
* I do'nt give it a f., we are all used to that that in the crypto world  fair enough, hope you'll succeed dumping all you huge amount/wealth

A poor ><

I have a curiosity ... why the hell are you even posting in this thread? please do enlighten me.
Seems you are a smart person who's not gonna buy a coin with 8% of total market on the sell side (considering the coins have been distributed for free, but you're to dumb to understand that perspective)....

So...why do you bother to post?

may-be you should stop bullying everybody on this thread. Who do you think you are ?!

It will be the people who placed BTC directly into the multipool hoping that the first round of payments would come in at 1 satoshi per ShareCoin (as the dev did mention early on in this thread (he said he would start at 1 satoshi and increase the price)).

A lot of people thought by placing a few BTC in the multipool, they would get a large number of ShareCoins at 1 satoshi each, and dump them instantly gaining a huge profit (if the coin rose to 2 satoshi per ShareCoin, you would double your investment). However the dev didn't sell them to the multipool at that price and so people are just selling at around the price they paid for them just to get their BTC back.

That's my theory anyway.

The first multipool purchase only distributed 2442500 SHARE. No where near the 5ish million currently in the Asks at 400-403.
