Yes, but all those coins was traded with/for BTC. But, volume was pretty low. If this was a scam it was much to early to close it out. Wait it out, grow the exchange to 500 BTC a day or so.

A while back I seen someone at poloniex chat say he was a core dev for a major CMS and I wonder if he was the dev of sharexcoin.com since it looks like a drupal CMS site.

It didn't look like a drupal site to me at all. Unless drupal has change a lot of it's architecture since I've used it.

What was the estimated market cap of sharecoin? Think we could count that to the damages.
There were a bit over 100m coins, last price I recall was 160 sat. So, .00000160 x 100,000,000 = 160 BTC = $105k US at current bit coin price.

What I don't understand however is a large Qora transaction made from Poloniex to Sharexcoin wallet around the time the site went offline. Why didn't Zip flog those Qora for BTC rather than withdrawing them. Its one of the more traceable stacks of Qora out there. Or perhaps he plans on staking untill he can pay back
Anyways, I was very very fortunate to escape this clusterfuck. I'll keep my eyes open for community efforts though.

I never did want anonymity. crypto community started in religious-kind of anarcocap scene, and those early devs are still centralizing the crypto community. the earlier regulamentation comes, the better

I have no idea if it is a scam or not but why run now so early when he can run later with lots more. Isn't the exchange still very small?
I guess 100btc was pretty good for a 3~5bbtc investments. Quite frankly I am asking the same question regarding people who dump their coins much lower than normal exchange rate
