Just to give everybody heads up that the DEV and the project seems to be very professional.
The fact that DEV didn't take a single coin for himself and is sharing everything to the community is a proof of transparency and fairness!
Website is also very serious and professional.
I have gotten in contact with DEV for a translation of the official thread. He offered me a bounty after he receives the donations from the community, after coin launches. This just shows that he didn't keep a single coin for himself.

the new file with gitignore extension in the new version, for what is it?
I believe that's an extension used by git to ignore certain files directories in a project etc. I don't think it has anything to do with the operation of the wallet.
