In answer to a much earlier question about PoW mining period length in terms of months.

I do not have a 10.6.8 system to test it on at present to replicate the issue.
Also if the wallet is not launching then the DarkSilk data directory in ApplicationSupport may not be getting created.

Download and mount the DMG, move the DarkSilk-Qt file to you Applications, open the wallet and then close it.
Right-click on the Finder icon in the dock and select "Go to Folder..." and then type ~/Library and hit enter.
Navigate to ApplicationSupport folder and then into the DarkSilk folder.
Delete ALL the files in here and then add the below darksilk.conf file inside /Library/ApplicationSupport/DarkSilk

The DarkSilk folder is not in my ApplicationSupport folder. Am I doing something wrong? I'm running version 10.6.8

Well that is another day over.
I have managed to complete my OSX environment.
Build the DarkSilk OSX wallet successfully.
Amended timings on the wallet and have been testing all day (and still am).
I have added the unlock code to the padlock click class but still the 'Unlock for Staking Only' isn't showing (something for tomorrow).
Really looking forward to seeing some more logos.
Anyway people it's 5am.

Here is my concept logo i threw together this morning, i can play around with fonts and colours etc, but you get the idea 
bro if you using photoshop and got the card for this throw it in 3d mode instead of the blend and giver a 20px or maybe more 3d life. .. i think you got something here. remember the S - with the simple you got looks like cd ~ or root which is symbolic and beautiful. just maybe make the ~ smaller and go with dark them and subtle purple. or pure purple. purple signifies course kings and royalty.. ~ signifies root. so fucking rights. keep working on this one and maybe add some scorpion to the S
edit. seen S in my Mind. D in the logo. Try scorpion S overlayed with ~ for the root of the scorpion. sounds like a fuckin metal album so good.
No problem, ill work on it some more when i get a chance.

For all yall that dont know nzminer didnt sleep for a week making all the graphics for the community launched and agree on wallet. great and heavy amount of skill. now join the S scorpion with this design and the darkness of scorpion poision.. we got a logo.

scorpion relates the underlying story of silkcoin.
trader in desert. load of silk. gets robbed by raiders enroute to the grand bazaar. meet many others interested in the same wares. continues back into the desert. supplies deplete. traders begin to scatter. camel is bit by a scorpion and give the knowledge of ages... as much as this is a currency, or a movement, or a a nostalgic phenomona.. this is an analogy.. darksilk is the vision of the scorpion. i have dreamt it and why i chose the name dark silk
