when you say let it be, you mean let it die. then your wish will be granted

I think an algorithm change is ridiculous. ASIC's are far more energy efficient than GPU's despite the algorithm used. Unless ASIC's are designed to use X11 for example, it's a dumb argument.

Agree 100%

I do not agree with this look at litecoin and bitcoin they did not change and they prospered.

Any news regarding an algorithm change?
Nick Gogerty No plans right now. the general consensus is that mining is a "Red Queen" competition which will have electricity resources deployed up to and until the marginal return doesn't warrent a return. Whether those resources create 1 MHs or 1 GHs is largely irrelevant. A more germain issue is network stability and block-chain integrity. The degree to which that may be improved vs. the risk and disruption of chasing every new algo is the real debate. The "efficiency" argument is false, as the efficiency at the individual miner level doesn't matter to the mission, it is the relative progress in blockchain stability over the long term that matters. Happy to hear arguments. Doug Felman and Justin Levinson might be best to take this up with in the forums. Remember though more hashing is less important and efficiency / hash is not really an issue given the marginal utility model of resource consumption. Feel free to discuss in the forumshttp://solarcoin.org/forum/index.php...

Thanks for the post I think we should Just let it be.

What do you wanna know by dev?
It's quite simple for me.
SLR are a looooong term investment.
They will rise much slowly starting from next year when mining will be harder.

So, forget about slr for this year. If you got some and you believe in them, you have to have faith in them.

Now, slr are not the most profitable coin, and you can see, is one of the worst.

But think such an investment way and look on other cryptos.

Remember one year and and half ago, YBC, 0.002 per coin.
Now more than 1usd each.

Make a cold storage of yout wallet, make multiple backup every months, change often your passphrase and have patience.

Smiley

If I have my coins in cold storage do I still need to make a backup every few months and how would I since they where never on my PC to begin with?

http://dustin.io/2013/12/setting-up-cold-storage-and-active-storage-litecoin-wallets/

It works as well for slr. Smiley

Thank you good reading.

What's going on with price?

Dumped! Maybe some miners cash they solarcoin.

just picked up 17,200 solarcoins for .0053 cents each.

This is a low risk high reward situation.

in 4 years when the block reward is down 6.25 solarcoins a minute do you guys still think it will trade at under a half of a cent?
