Finally after deleting everything but wallet.dat and the congfig file it checked the entire blockchain and found some of my coins and synced. Thanks for the help everyone.

Anyone else think we should approach Peter Schiff to endorse and invest in SmartCoin? He is the man! I think he would be the perfect person to put as the face of Smartcoin.

I just synced a wallet on win7 and a wallet on win xp.  Now I'm going to delete everything in the conf folder except the conf file and the wallet.dat and start over.  Will post results.

edit:  I just woke up and both wallets have synced.

Ok, try this.  Go to the folder where your config file is and delete everything except wallet.dat and smartcoin.conf.  It would be a good idea to make a copy of wallet.dat at this point.  Then start the wallet.  Just start the wallet and leave it alone while it redownloads everything.  It helps if you do nothing else on the computer, no other open wallets and no browser activity.  If you have your computer set up to sleep/hibernate disable that so it doesn't kick in before the wallet is synced.

Also, about the config file.  Certain things in there can screw up the sync.  Try using nothing but the add nodes in the conf file.  No username, no password etc.

If you are using win xp let me know and we will use a different config file.

Out of curiosity, why didn't the previous dev. just transfer the domain. Why should we register the new domain?

re loaded it and now it says 7158 blocks. still stays there till hd message.

ok did that. 3541 blocks remaining. stays like that for a half hour then errors about some HD space. The hd is 2T and not even 1T full but this thing wants more space. BS. Somethings not right with the client. worked fine before i update it to the new one and then back to the old. I think the pooch is screwed.

This^^^^^   Can we get a working windows wallet?  I stopped mining this coin because my wallet wont sync. it's the 1.1 ver I've re installed a 6x from the new page. WTF? I was mining on cryptotycoons pool so I know it and my wallet are on the correct fork but im out some 1500 smc. I guess it's back to Doge and NXT and darkcoins until it's sorted.
