Will there be any kind of rewards mechanism such as staking or nodes and maybe features related to privacy? Also any idea when a new website will be launched?

Hi again ninjacoins
Staking is already active! Smiley
Supercoin provides privacy by looping through and hashing the addresses of several nodes.
For more details please see the whitepaper, which can be found on supercoin.nl

The new website design is something we will address during our next meeting.
Check the site from time to time, and when the layout changes please let us know if it's an improvement to you or not. Smiley

Any noteworthy features planned for integration in the future?

Hi Ninjacoins
We're looking into getting a developer to tackle the memory usage of the wallet and to port it to Linux.

Seems like Supercoin staying stable!

As always Cheesy
Even during the crash bitcoin experienced last month SuperCoin stayed at about the same level (fiat wise).
This just goes to show that it has great stability, just like it has had in the past couple of years!

Can you find out which anonymity technologies are applied?

This coin has good name and good community. May I take the lead to create a Filipino and Esperanto translations of this coin for the benefit of these speakers? I appreciate if you would allow such endeavor for marketing purposes.

Hi benedictonathan
Of course you can!
Do take into account that we're a community of enthusiasts, so we currently do no financially compensate translations.
If you're still willing to do the translations for free, that would be awesome! Cheesy
Thanks in advance!

Hey, thanks. Experience wise I would be more than happy to make these translations even without profit. Hopefully we can check a good exchange so that  I will also invest on this in the near future.

PoS, fast low fees and anonymous? Better to follow this, there is really a high need of fast and efficient performing coins.
Exactly my friend , on point your comment !

I've also uploaded a new snapshot, as of this morning.

Should make things a little easier.

It's not my first time using bootstrap. Downloaded it extracted the files and added them to my Supercoin folder after deleting all of the other files except Supercoin.conf and wallet.dat. Then I copied all of the nodes from coinexchange and pasted them into Supercoin.conf and launched the wallet. I relaunched the wallet and now it's stuck on 49700 block.

Hy crypt0tkid

First: backup ONLY your wallet.dat
- delete the entire folder
- launch the wallet
- close the wallet
- follow the instructions of of the snapshot
- launch the wallet
- let the newly created wallet.dat synch completely
- close the wallet
- overwrite the newly created wallet.dat with your backed up wallet.dat
- launch the wallet

That should work :-)

I did that. Wallet isn't syncing. It's been stuck on block 47003 for several hours.
Use bootstrap/snapshot for faster synchronization. And don't forget to add active nodes too.
You can get bootstrap/snapshot here:
Code:
https://supercoin.nl/downloads/
http://cryptochainer.com/dir/?page_id=365

I am using the bootstrap and I copied all of the nodes from https://www.coinexchange.io/network/peers/SUPER. It's been stuck for over 8 hours now. I will close it and try to restart it to see if it will work.
If you are using bootstrap, how on earth you could stuck in the middle. You will go through directly to the block height at which time that bootstrap was taken after a while of launching your wallet and should start downloading the most recent blocks that were not in the bootstrap file.

My computer lost power and my wallet shut down abruptly. I tried restarting the wallet and now I get "Assertion Failed" message. Does anyone know how to get the wallet working again?

Hi crypt0kid

"Assertion Failed" is an error thrown when the database has become corrupted.
The best thing to do is to:
-backup your wallet.dat file
-remove the supercoin folder
-start the supercoin wallet program (which will automatically recreate all the files and folders)
-use the blockchain snapshot to speed up your sync
-let is sync completely
-copy back your backupped wallet.dat to the supercoin folder

That should solve your problem Smiley
