I, too, like the way Griffith performed during, um... stress testing.

Holy crap, that's an understatement.  There's a lot of bad juju coming from the crowd that just showed back up. I understand being critical of a new dev, but is the agression necessary?

But [Griffith] does not understand anon, does not understand multisig, accuse supercoin not anon because he can use the transaction amount to match it, ignoring previous messages that simple algo can fix it.

Griffith stated many times that the small issue can be fixed.  No need to harp on things.  We need to give him a chance to make these fixes before shooting him down.  If his proposed changes don't jive with the community, we can simply reject them.

Fuddsters, this is the alternative:
Is it better to have a new dedicated dev that will do his best to develop the coin, OR is it better to say " nah you are not good enough " and let the coin die ?
Since well, NO other dev wants to take over, strasboug said he understands that this is a big commitment and that he can nod take it this time. Sure maybe there are other devs out there but well NO ONE wants to take over.
Right now Griffith and his team are willing to take over and do the best they can !

ANY future development is better then NO development at all. What do you think ? Now, when it was proved that supercoin has awesome coding behind it, it will start  to rise and be the best coin ever, with no more developments and no dev behind it ? REALLY ?

IF THERE IS NO NEW DEV, THE COIN WILL DIE.

It IS simple as that !

With all due respect lets just all face the facts here
the dev will never let go of HIS baby. I mean he has
pretty much run the coin all the way down in price from its
heady heights and yes he had lots of help on the way down
unfortunantly and still does as i can see from the last 20 pages.

I made a good profit mining this coin and got out in good time
when the fudders first appeared in the old thread for what must
be one of the ugliest onslaughts on a coin i have ever seen and that
was unfortunate and very sad as i had high hopes for this coin,
but i just cant see the trusted cryptos team (Mwc & Ecc Devs)
taking over this project. Not when the same old tiered division among you
is in place, as a project of this size needs clear leadership by a
group of commited individuals and not just one dev who by all accounts
and history only ever appears now and then for whatever reason and is just not
prepared to adapt and let the coin grow.

It really is that simple and a sad fact i wish you all the best
and as an earlt adopter i hope it works out in the end for you.

What else is there to let go of?  We don't have the social network channels, but so be it, those can relaunch if supercoindev & supercointeam won't relinquish the details.  we have the source and can open a new github repo. Bam. new management in place.

Yes, there seems to be turmoil among the super hodlers as to what the next move is.  I say Griffith, take over, if someone really thinks there's a better man for the job, they can step up. Enough talk, more action FFS.

Griffith, If I were you, I would draft a potential road map for Super and post it here.  Show everyone that you have a plan in your head that we can get behind, maybe the scared ones can be converted.

Further,

Griffith's understanding of supercoin tech seems at the novice level, with many concepts wrong/mixed, but from his messages he starts to understand some concepts. Everyone can learn. I was at novice level a year ago too, but now I understand it. BTW, the successfully use of multisig in supercoin is amazing, this opens a new door for the altcoins. I see several possible completion of the code in the error handling parts, as supercoindev mentioned. He could not finish all the coding, but with 1 months all the code working perfectly is a great achievement and showed his deep understanding of the problem and super coding skills.

Strasboug, you are one of the very few present in this thread that is of a technical background, but not full of disdain and vigor. It would be of great benefit to Super if you could perhaps vetGriffith's code modifications before they go into effect to help ease the transition.  Please consider this OR invovlment of management of supercoin code at any level.

dev under no obligation to release his code, now he did, why you still say he will not let go his baby? Whatever dev does, he got blames. I'd like to see if another person can contribute as 10% of what he did.

I think dev released the code in hope it will help the coin development and advance in technology, it will help supercoin too since now it is open-source coin.

I see a lot of votes for Griffith and my vote goes there too.
I would really love to see supercoindev and strasbourg agree that a dev that is willing to learn the specifics of the code and work on it is better then no dev.

We really need supercoindev on board so he can give access to github and to all other stuff.

So i really hope he will agree with the communities choice.

Lets do it!

You do not need supercoindev to give github. As it will be taken over, start a new thread, new dev creates his own repo and check in the initial code of what posted by supercoindev, and start developing. This is typical scenario of taking over.

A lot of new people here...

Where are those who were here from the beginning? I see some of them, but, the rest? Gave up?

I am not against anybody or anything that could help Supercoin. I just want for Supercoin to recover and grow.

I want it too, but better not by someone who knows nothing about supercoin tech. He will only screw up the coin.

yeah, i know, my initial review when i drew the diagram out on paper and made my first diagnostic of the coin was pretty far off, i made some looping mistakes and thought it was burning off coins by moving them around a lot. but the mixers didnt have the loop i thought they had and this turned out to be not true. that was so bad lol. so yes, i can admit when i thought there were loops in the mixers in this post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9605259 i was wrong. i admit that.

the second part was fine though. you can, as the code is right now, find the sender and receiver of the supersend transactions as i corrected myself in this post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9615638 and that is completely correct

For the second part, you've pieced together the sender/receiver by their tx amount. That is called "guessing".
There is no way to be 100% certain that the "guess" you made is correct even if it looks so obvious & matching.
Hence this is still by definition "anonymous" as your method lacks incontrovertible proof of the sender & receiver.

In saying that, yes, the "guess" may be good enough for some and bad enough for those who use it.
At least the method on how this can be improved is already known. (Using canonical values etc.)

At the end of the day, I am happy to support Griffith or any other reputable users here who will continue Supercoin. Grin

my point was that it was less of a random guess and more of an educated assumption if it happens every single time. but yes that can and should be fixed

That is just the gist of what has been going here.
