Ive got a head start but I think esiu will run me down.    Of course a smart miner with 5 or 10 MH/s could join the pool and knock us both off for the 100 TAG....

The first person to find 20 blocks total on the pool will be rewarded with 100TAG!  The payment will be made when the user's 20th block is confirmed, and will be paid out of my wallet.

The pool is only 9 days old.  It is slowly gaining traction, and in turn users.  The first few days were mostly Johndec and I mining.  Our 24 hour block stat is now around 4-5 blocks, and that's with only ~10-12MH.  The pool efficiency has held solid at 99.5%+.  It's currently running at 0% fees, which I believe is one of the only TAG pools doing so.  I'm open to all community suggestions, which I'm sure Johndec can attest to.  I want it to be a place where miners will be happy to mine at.  Later today, I will be paying out the first 10 block finder's rewards, and will probably set up a permanent block reward or jackpot system by the end of the month(I'm leaning toward the jackpot system).  These rewards have been, and always will be paid at my expense.  At the end of the day, I try to make sure the miners mining here will take home more than they would elsewhere.

Additionally, I run only this pool.  Some of the larger pools that are part of a pool network, comprised of many altcoin pools.  That's a lot for someone to manage and dedicate their time to.  I am 100% dedicated to this pool, and this pool only.  And not to knock the other pools... I just want to let you know that 100% of my attention goes to this pool alone.

I'm proud of what the pool has done so far, and where it's going.  I'd be more than thankful if you decided to come and mine with us, but I can understand if you decide otherwise.  After all, you need to do what works for you.  However, our doors are always open, mate!

And yet it has found 7 blocks in the last 24 hours.  Not a bad strike rate for a pool only averaging 10MH/s and you get mine here for free till the end of the month.  Found a better deal anywhere else? Add some hashes and you might get lucky and we may get even luckier!

Sample config file for users having issues setting up CGMiner:


There is an example.conf file in the cgminer folder.  Replace the text in the config with the text above, and then rename the file to cgminer.conf.  All you need to do at that point is set the thread concurrency and intensity.  I run my 7950s at 17-18 intensity to keep the heat down.  The thread concurrency is different for each card, and there are some generic values listed in the LTC mining post here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/consolidated-litecoin-mining-guide-for-5xxx-6xxx-and-7xxx-gpus-117221.  Once you do that, all you need to do is start cgminer.

I have decided to up the bonus for the block finder's rewards.  The 9 rewards that haven't been paid out yet, with 2 still available, will be 10TAG for blocks 2-5 and 5TAG for blocks 6-10.

Once we hit the 10th block, I will evaluate the feasibility of doing a permanent block finder's reward.  I haven't come up with a set amount yet, but I'm thinking something in the 2-5TAG range.  Let me know what you guys think.

We've found our 5th block.  I've found it, which means there are still 7 block finder rewards up for grabs.

With these block rewards, the veterans rewards, and the normal block payouts, there is a lot of TAG up for grabs with TAGMining.Com.  Why mine anywhere else?

To all miners, old and new... I have decided on another 2 block rewards for the pool.

• Anyone that finds 5 blocks on the pool will be rewarded with a one time veteran's reward of 25TAG.
• If you find more than 10 blocks on the pool, you receive permanent 0% pool fees.

This in addition to any block rewards you could claim in the next 7 blocks, and your round earnings, this would be a pretty decent payout for anyone mining on Tagmining.com.

The 25TAG veteran's reward will be paid when the user's 5th block is confirmed.

The pool fee has been reduced to 0% until the end of the month.  Donations are welcomed, but not necessary.  While I hope it will bring more people to the pool, my main concern will be that it brings the miners back to Tagcoin.  With all the developments with Tagbond and Tagcash, this is an exciting time for the TAG community.  Come be a part of something that isn't just another pump and dump crapcoin.
