The Experience Layer of the Decentralized Internet
Origin Trail just moved from good speculative asset, to great investment opportunity
It is becoming a better investment opportunity just now, since the price dropped 12% in 24 hours.
Let us accumulate more TRAC.

OriginTrail’s Spring Roadshow: Meet the Team Out on the Road

OriginTrail is hitting the road again! By the invitation of some very reputable organizations, OriginTrail founders will present at high-level events in Asia (Shanghai, Tokyo, Tianjin) and Europe (London, Bled and Ljubljana) in the following weeks. In this blog post, you can find detailed descriptions of the events. OriginTrail team members were invited to take part in these events as panelist and speakers based on their expertise in the field. The company announces only events we participate in, not those we simply attend. https://medium.com/origintrail/origintrails-spring-roadshow-meet-the-team-out-on-the-road-1f2568925baf

This is great marketing for Origin trail, one of the under-radar project with excellent track of record and success!

OriginTrail Development Update: v0.8a Surveyor Released on May 21st

We are happy to announce that we are releasing the latest version of our ODN network node software 0.8a, Surveyor, today.

Surveyor brings us an improved version of the bidding mechanism and implements the first version of the long-awaited consensus check, which utilizes the zero-knowledge privacy layer we worked on in previous releases.

The team behind OriginTrail has been consistent in delivering on our bi-weekly development roadmap, intended to make us iterate quickly and improve upon the mechanics of the ODN while it’s in the alpha stage. Now that Surveyor has been released, we are merely 2 releases away from the testnet at the end of June.

With the release of testnets, people can start testing how Origin Trail will be using in tracking for supply chain? This is what blockchain is made for!

I consider OriginTrail one of the most promising coins in the crypto world with a capitalization close to $ 50 million, along with Coin Wabi.

OriginTrail has developed its own platform that allows networks within the ecosystem to build any blockchain (pilot programs of all this are already underway in Europe and China).
Creating this tailor-made solution OriginTrail makes data more accessible to those who are part of a supply chain, but the most important function is that it can be used by end consumers who want to know the true origin of a product, and then find out if it is counterfeit or dangerous to health.
In fact, the first version of OriginTrail has been implemented in the food chain; subsequently it will be compatible with any supply chain and products, and will be open source!

I repeat: one of the few tokens with real applications out there!

Thank you for such a detailed write-up! WOW! Anyway, you know like they say - "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough."
Do you think there's a way for IT professionals to explain that stuff to the average Joes? ELI5 style, you know?

Such nice videos or whiteboards usually help to explain complex things easily, everybody is able create them today:

How many Trac tokens are needed to run a node?
The incentive model introduces a novel form of a token staking mechanism implemented in order to discourage potential malicious behaviour within the network.
In order to participate in data exchange, the nodes involved need to stake a proportional amount of tokens to the agreed upon amount in the exchange. This staked amount is used to ensure the agreement success, as it further demotivates the involved parties to act against the system — the DH to remove or change the data it has committed to keeping and delivering, and on the other hand demotivate the DC node to falsely probe the DH nodes in order to try to obtain their stake.

This effectively means that in order to take on more work in the system and thus obtain more token gains and a larger reputation, a node needs to provide a larger cumulative stake, which ensures aligned incentives and motivation to deliver high quality of service.

The elasticity of this system allows both large and smaller token holders to participate on their own terms by being able to “monetize” their reputation and stake if they have a good historical track record in OriginTrail, but without limiting smaller players from entering the system and providing high-quality service. In this way, a data provider can choose to require a certain high level of reputation and stake (which would guarantee a higher degree of trust) from the nodes, which will in return be valued at a higher service price. In this way, the system stays decentralized and the distribution of data remains wide.

Nice to see that TRAC is steady and slowly growing.
This project has so much potential and will surely added this year by the big exchanges like Binance.
Keep up the good work guys.

I am happy with it because it is not pumped by any whale. I believe it will continue to grow.

Interesting project. Do you have any big announcements coming up?
The nearest event is Surveyor Release v0.8a - May 21st
Initial version of consensus check with privacy layer (zk)
        V2 of bidding mechanism

Surveyor will be the first release to utilize the consensus check (the validation mechanism for interactions between supply chain parties used in OriginTrail protocol) based on the privacy sublayer of OT protocol. It will also introduce improvements to the bidding mechanism and token utilization.

and TESTNET Apollo Release v1.0b - June 29th
        OriginTrail Test Network Launch
Live cases using protocol test network
1st Open Call for use-cases (up to 10 projects voted upon by token holders via a Smart Contract)

Apollo is the first beta version of the testnet protocol and implements all the features set for development. With the growing usage of the protocol and identified improvement proposals, we will be moving towards a mainnet launch in Q3.with first open call for use cases.

Is this forthcoming Surveyor Release the reason OriginTrail is pumped?
I am glad to see the pump, but it seems that it is hard to reach 0.0004 ETH.

In last 10 days price of TRAC doubled in bitcoins from 1500 satoshi to 3400. And expect that will only grow.
Reason is not this last update but all updates in past 3 moths that TRAC exist and what is planed ahead and most important delivering exactly what is promised. No bullshit.
Orgintrail ICO ended in i think February, but project was few years old, so they were hard working all that time. Not as most ICO project that after ICO finish they start gathering team and there is no real results in first year.   In case of Orgintrail is totally different.  There are lost of results, but price cant follow since TRACE exist only few months and no bigger exchanges did not picked it up.  Team of course dont push it to the exchanges. That should be normal case for any other ICO team. But reality is far from that. Many ICO projects spend founds they gather in ICO for listing on exchange ( taht might make exit scam next year) then to build their projects. This is main reason why price of TRAC is still so low. That will change sooner or latter.

judging by charts, this news has already traded but the price can still grow
pamp depends on what price the whales were in and at what price did you buy
I was lucky that I bought into the ICO.
I believe you are right that OriginTrail will continue to grow. So I will hold my TGE long term.

Currently, these supply chains are fragmented and hidden. There is a limited ability to share data between the parties to the agreements.
Stratap OriginTrail creates a protocol that will allow IT providers to easily and easily analyze data and share information with the help of a blockbuster.

Thanks for the info, once use cases start kicking in, businesses start to implement OriginTrail blockchain tech, OriginTrail will takes off!

TGE has a good run.
Think the next double or 10x is Spectrecoin (XSPEC), best undervalued privacy coin.  More private than zcash/dash.  Think it will go from $0.50 to $5.00.
That's 10x.
Longer term, think it'll be $50. imo.  Get in before others or get missed out.

Think you are in the wrong thread, this is OriginTrail Ann Thread/forum, the established company with excellent record of success, now incorporating blockchain tech to its company to better serve more businesses

Origin trail is one of the underrated, least hype project, this is what blockchain is made for, tracking and logistics applications to the real world
