CryptoBridge will be listing HempCoin (THC)!
The trading pair THC/BTC and THC deposits will be enabled once CryptoBridge finalizes HempCoin wallet integration.

Hi All,

does anybody knows why my node keeps dying? It starts MN as active but active counter does not run. Then after few hours it dies and goes missing. No crash no error nothing.... just -1

So far I tried:

- Different HW - Desktop PC Linux Ubuntu 16/18 version Desktop PC
     - Windows 10 / Windows Server 2016 (all licensed) Laptop and Dell R420 server.
- With and without firewall enabled
- Different IP locations
- Behind the router and ass wide open straight to the internet (NIC to ISP)
- ISP confirmed not blocking anything on port 27577

Noting helped. Mobay tried and suggest move to VPS....

So Q's rises

MN is GEOLOCKED? VPS only? Locked to specific VPS supplier?

I've spend two weeks now fighting with this... my humor is starting to end Sad
If mn is bugged why there's no information available main site then? I've searched Telegram channel and found that 17 ppl including me had this problem out of 330 nodes it's 5% that's a huge error rate for software with assets management.

How we can debug this further? Suggestions?

PS. ain't moving to VPS i'm so anal tight about my data stored somewhere else....

Thank you all in advance!

I just thought I would post a reply here, for anyone not on the discord. To run a node, you need to use a VPS, just like 99% of the nodes out there, you can't just host it locally as it doesn't work. Mobay, the coder who worked on the wallet has mentioned this to you ThugB33 but you don't want to, which means it doesn't look like you will be able to run a node. I'm sorry if this is not to your liking but that's how it is.

I also wanted to clarify, you mention the 5% error rate.... well if you used the search function properly, you would notice every single other user who had this issue almost immediately was told the solution, which was to run the node from the command line and it runs just fine. so in truth, the "error rate" you calculated is vastly incorrect, its not  17/330, its 1/420 which equates to roughly 0.25% which isn't all that bad for such a small sample size....

Technically, its 0% as just because you don't want to take the steps to resolve your issue doesn't mean its an error at all, bug reports are greatly appreciated, but if its not a bug, they can't "fix" it.

Technically there is NO problem with running a node from your home, but you need a FIXED ip. Also none of your "data" is stored on a vps, it has a copy of the blockchain, verifies transactions and sends the income to your local wallet.

Does anyone know how to check whether a swap is happening, and are the coins ready for withdrawal?

From the website at https://hempcoin.org/

The Bittrex THC coin swap is complete.  Wallets are online and deposits and withdrawals have been reenabled.

The manual coin swap has resumed. If you are still holding old THC, follow the instructions below for the manual coin swap.  The deadline for the manual coin swap is August 19, 2018.

Official Swap Instructions

These are the official coin swap instructions.  Members of the THC team will not be contacting you on Discord, Telegram, Twitter, or Facebook to initiate a swap.  Scam artists are currently impersonating members of the THC team and offering to swap community members' coins.  These are attempts to steal your THC.  Do not let them!

    SWAP METHOD #1 (Preferred Method): Bittrex Exchange Coin Swap
    The Bittrex swap is the preferred method for swapping your THC.  On July 19, 2018 Bittrex Exchange will conduct an automatic, one-time 1:1 coin swap of Bittrex users' THC balances.

    To participate in the Bittrex Exchange Coin Swap send your THC to your Bittrex Exchange wallet prior to July 19, 2018.  You may withdraw your THC to the new HempCoin wallet once Bittrex completes the swap.  Click here to read the offical Bittrex announcement.

    SWAP METHOD #2: Manual Coin Swap
    Send an email to [email protected] with HempCoin Swap in the Subject line.  In the body of the email include (1) your current THC wallet address (starts with an H), (2) an estimate of the total amount of THC in your wallet, (3) and your Skype email address.  Further instructions will be included in the auto-reply that follows.

Hi dev,

Please consider making Electrum and getting into TREZOR to make life easier for investors.

+1

Hardware wallets are important for larger users like dispensaries who need top security. I would also like to see this on a service like shapeshift.

I found the solution to the not staking problem. In the new wallet go to Tools - Open wallet configuration, a blank notepad page appears. On the top line type staking=1 save the file. Shut down wallet for 5 mins, open it back up put in your password and make sure the tick box for staking is checked. leave it a couple of mins and the staking button should turn green. If you want to check the wallet status go to Tools - Debug console, in the text box type getstakingstatus and it should display what's below.

{
    "validtime" : true,
    "haveconnections" : true,
    "walletunlocked" : true,
    "mintablecoins" : true,
    "enoughcoins" : true,
    "mnsync" : true,
    "staking status" : true
}

Hope this all helps. Cheers.

Worked for me too. Thank you so much for the good info!
