I'm sorry for my expression but TokenCard project seem to me weird. They plan to run smart contracts on VISA network? Sorry, but it is the same as to try to implement engine into the horse carriage.

Thanks for starting this thread. I too just stumbled upon tokencard this weekend and am seeking more information. I heard about it from here:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/pioneering-smart-contract-powered-tokencard-announces-crowdsale

Unfortunately there isn't much info out there other than what's on their web site and paid for promotional articles. The absence of an official Bitcointalk thread is a bit concerning.

Hopefully the devs address this thread or at least start their own on the forum.

Between the stories of Jihan Wu (or his like) and the miners, personally I choose the  story of miners...

I believe that the scrypt, X11 or sha256, is also a bad choice because of the availability of ASIC for these algorithms.

#minexcoin.com
that's exactly why they are the best and Ethereum and other shit on graphics cards is the story of miners !

5.5 Standard Wallet
TokenCard is capable of working directly with the standard ERC20 contract wallets (Ethereum
Foundation/Consensys/Parity).

This Thread is for the purpose of research with regards to this ICO. No information was available on this forum, so I bothered to open this thread to get some feedback from the community.

I find it a really good idea, however, I found little to no support from the Crypto community on their twitter account and in their blog.

This are the links I found about them:

http://tokencard.io/

https://cointelegraph.com/news/podcast-mel-gelderman-venturing-into-the-web3

https://www.linkedin.com/in/mel-gelderman-a7596a10b/

Mel Gelderman has only 8 connections on Linkedin. It is hard to judge someone only based on their linkedin, but I was "scammed" by Christopher David from Arcade City, so I do not want to be jumping on other scam project.

Any info besides this links I posted would be greatly appreciated.

@BastianDurden

its not advertised anywhere like on google, how the hell you you learned about them if i may ask?
if its not listed here, then there is a higher chance of getting scammed. its not like mel has been know to anything nor connection to someone from crypto.
