KYC (know your customer) is used widely in international finance; essentially it is an independent identity verification process that ensures that people who are transacting are legitimate and verifiable. There's a host of benefits, including meeting regulatory requirements in some countries, anti-money laundering as well as compliance with industry standards. As part of our commitment to ensuring that the Token Sale is conducted with integrity and rigour, we will be using an independent KYC verification service as part of our pre-registration procedure for all registrants.
You'll be pleased to know we have now removed the requirement for supplementary address documents e.g utility bill.
