I'm seeing something strange...
trying to run transaction from console, getting the tx id, yet it never (no success for 5+ hours) gets through:
(last time it took me 1 min) Is it network or what?
Code:
> eth.getBalance(eth.coinbase)
8002940000000000000
> personal.unlockAccount("src_addr", "src_pass", 600)
true
>eth.sendTransaction({from: eth.coinbase, to: "0xc9a2dbe0b26616e742e148ce6bdc62c08c8c5576", value: web3.toWei(8.00252, "ether"), gasPrice: "42000"})
"0xfd009f3f2b6d80af679c4f411ac1f8c1cd24ff2e7cf69ab45047da598c5e0516"

EDIT: also had issues with geth (due to restart with open miner on the same host?), needed to remove data folder (dbremove didn't help) and resync.

Flux Difficulty Algorithm and block 4088 hard fork review

The last hard fork at block 4088 activated without any issues.  This was a good test as it shows we have good communications between miners, pools, exchanges and users going forward.

We were able to observe our difficulty related changes and while they are a big improvement, the Digishield difficulty algorithm is proving inadequate.

Below is an image of what we observe.

The good news is that I have coded up a new solution which I have called the Flux Difficulty Algorithm.  This is a minor adjustment to Digishield so that it implements throttling which will eliminate the peaks and troughs of the difficulty chart.  This works by making an extra comparison with the previous block time and throttling the rate of change.  The current Ethereum difficulty algorithm works using the approach of looking at the time of the previous block.

A new release and hard fork block will be announced after some more testing.  We are actively testing the Flux difficulty algorithm using different criteria.

Bittrex listing

Bittrex has completed their integration testing of Ubiq.  We have asked them to hold off on listing Ubiq while we test the Flux difficulty algorithm.  We anticipate listing to be early next week but we will let everyone know ahead of time.  Thank you for the overwhelming enthusiasm.

Fusion GUI wallet

This will be available after the next hard fork.  We have successfully tested this on the Testnet network.

Below are some screen shots Smiley

Thank you for your support.

Excellent news! Hard fork activated without problems and my farm works good. With the opening of Bittrex trading, Ubiq will attract more attention of investors and miners, and now we have a favorable period for mining with low network complexity. In the near future Ubiq project will demonstrate the advantages for a wide audience.

^please list as promised before novaexchange does ..lol  Roll Eyes

There's not a rush for the market to open on Bittrex, mate. Besides, the devs initially said "at least three days," meaning it wouldn't be before then. It hasn't even been a week yet, lol, we'll get on Bittrex soon enough. I'd much rather the devs have all the code optimizations in first anyway. That's why i'm invested in Ubiq, and mining it. Because it's a long-term project, not just some flash in the pan shit to dump on exchange add.

^this is turning into butterfly labs 2.0 reboot...zzz  Roll Eyes

If you're impatient the I will buy all your UBQ

^offering .001 per UBQ :-D
