Reinstalled this Verium wallet too many times. Just uninstalling and waiting for the final release.
Don't you have a other pc you could test it on?
Yeah, I guess I do.

F*CK WHALES!
Can I install Verium wallet via .zip or anyway that can bypass Admin permission? Because I don't have Admin permission on my working laptop then I can't install via .exe

When will the mainnet be available?
The testnet 2.0 is working well now. Mining is so promising.

We are planning mainnet release now, we will announce date and time soon.

No rush, rather have it bug free, stay the course...

Agree. Take time and test as thoroughly as possible.

Agreed too I don't need rush I need stable version more than quick launch. I can waiting for weekend.

Whats the point in making it GPU resistant? All CPU coins are dead.

I didn't know Bitcoin was dead!?!

Bitcoin was the first decentralized cryptocurrency. It was originally designed to be mined with CPUs, yes. But the world changes, anyways, the decision to make Verium CPU only must have its hidden motives. Someone might have developed a GPU miner and will cluster fuck the network with its high hashrate, profitable for some maybe. But the truth is, its all about profit and the dev who develops its own private miner wins. Decentralized huh? I dont think so. In reality, advertising Verium as a CPU only coin so "any" person can mine it from home is just food for thought. Dont get fooled.

You're misunderstanding the reality of something that requires so much memory. If you had a GPU that could mine it, you would leave 99% of your cores sitting useless. That means the performance benefit if someone made a GPU miner would be marginal at best. Maybe when there are 64 GB GPUs, but for now it's not useful.

Hello i am hoping someone can help me.
I did buy some Vericoin and downloaded the wallet after.
I opened the wallet and got my Address and deposited my coins.
The wallet had not synced yet so i left the computer on and headed out.

When i came back the computer had shutted off and when i turned it back on,
i got an error trying to open the Vericoin wallet.

This is the error i got:
'Fatal error occurred. Vericoin can no longer continue safely and will quit. EXCEPTION:St13runtime_error init_blockindex():error opening database environment IO error

How can i restore my wallet and get my coins back safe?
I went to the Vericoin folder but can't find any wallet.dat file?

Please help Sad

Like Pat, said delete everything BUT the wallet.dat in %appdata%/vericoin....do not delete WALLET.DAT
Veri important to not delete the Wallet.dat!
Yes the most important, do not delete WALLET.DAT

The folder is in %appdata%/vericoin if you are on Windows. Remove everything except for wallet.dat. Then open the wallet and reload blockchain.

I did as said, deletet 1.01 and installed 1.02. Now all my mined VERIUMS are lost, even if i saved the wallet.dat and imported it in the new version Angry

that's to be expected. this is just a test. the 'real'/main network is not online yet.

That wallet I downloaded just now, still only on 1.0.

Why is it not going to 1.0.1.

Cleared the folder, installed the new Verium wallet, not updated.

Try uninstalling in add/remove programs first.  Then installing 1.0.2 again.
Did that, still 0 connections.
