X11 is nice and all but we started writing this coin over a month ago when it was less mature. Plus, the PoW phase is so short it won't make too much of a difference. I don't think you're going to be seeing pools of ASICs mining Vericoin up.

I like X11, but if the FPGA Chinese farms that are rumored prove true, this will be an embarrassing assumption that people continually make with that statement.

I don't know. The announcement says 5:00 GMT which is about an hour away and it also says midnight Eastern time which is in a few minutes.
