working fine here...make sure you are running the wallet as admin if using Windows. I encountered different errors with the previous wallet until I figured out that I needed to Run As Administrator.

Do you have more than 22 cores? If not, 32 bit is faster.

Won't sync after update... tried deleting everything except wallet.dat and reinstall. Now it won't start.
I can confirm this issue. When doing an in wallet upgrade to 1.02 the wallet is fine. When doing a clean install of 1.02 with only the old wallet.dat file in place, the wallet crashes. I think the status before crashing was something like loading block index. I'm on Win 7 Ultimate 64bit. I got around this issue by installing an older wallet version and then doing an in wallet upgrade to 1.02.
I'm on win 10 64b, had to do the same workaround.

Yeah needed enough miners to get past that block at it's current difficulty. You can do file menu blockchain reload if you think you have a problem but it's not necessary it's the same chain continued.

Block 2395 has been mined. My wallet unstuck after it saw that block.

Great to see the Dev's releasing a fix so quickly...as with all experimental software and running a new protocol PoWT things will happen unexpectedly. I believe all the testing on the testnet would of not shown this bug because the amount of hashing power and users that are being thrown at the network. Every software release from Bitcoin to Ethereum have had bugs similar to this...comes with the game. We do have a great product here and when things get fixed quickly it shows we have competent, capable developers.
So Doug, Pat and David...was this an attack by a bad actor or just a bug? Just for clarification ;-) As you guys always seem to be attacked at some point....

I'm sorry but "fix quickly" ? The blockchain stopped 23hours ago and its still offline. Not here to bash but that is really not quick.

The Dev's want a 30:1 price ratio to Vericoin, but that will be market dependent. With a new protocol(PoWT), a very low initial supply 580,000 VRM and the mining being so difficult this will be hard to predict. My personal opinion comparing us to other crytpo currencies just based on supply I'd say we would be anywhere from a $3-$10. Again that's just my opinion, I would say that the Dev's are showing they are capable and honest. With all the crap being thrown around I think people will notice
